As a tribute to the Missile man of India ,we have started a new science column in our blog. Mini Soldering table:  A normal soldering helper table would cost around 1000 rs. We(engineers) are always interested to reduce the cost by some means.Dinesh Singh of III year EEE had created a mini soldering table at a manufacturing cost of 40 rs! The one available in market Dinesh Singh with his 40rs table Apparatus required 1.Magnifying glass 2.Led bulb 3.Two clips  4.Few wooden pieces 5.Screws 6.Double sided tape Procedure: 1.Take a small wooden piece and cut size it . 2.Make small holes using a nail upon the top end to mount the magnifying glass. 3.Fix two clips at two ends of a small wooden stick and mount it upon the bigger one using small screws. 4.Make a turn table arrangement using a screw  before mounting the upper glass. 5.A small led bulb can be placed upon the glass for illumination powered by a small battery. Placement fever Zoho corporation,  co- founded by one of our alumni Mr.Kumar Vembu (86-90).comes  to our college every year  . This year it recruited 12 students  among which 7 students got placed and the rest got a chance to do their internship there. Apart from these people two more students have to attend their final round at Chennai.      The other people who missed their chance are waiting to prove themselves in  Go-Frugal   this friday.   Special news:   The government is rolling out an ambitious programme to make Kerala a preferred destination for investment in electronics systems design and manufacture (ESDM) by 2020.The proposal, a major component of the Kerala Industrial and Commercial Policy (Amended)-2015 cleared by the State Cabinet on Wednesday, seeks to set up manufacturing units for the electronics industry in Thiruvananthapuram. The policy includes plans to develop Industrial Development Zones (IDZ) in and around the state.It proposes a Rs.100-crore green financing scheme to channelise investments in green and clean industries.A 30 per cent investment subsidy will be provided for women entrepreneurs to establish industrial units.This program would definitely open up a new path way for lots of common people to establish their own company and Unemployment problems would be vanished.
