THIRAN KICK-OFF:   Thiran has been a major platform in our college to enhance and exhibit student's knowledge. It taught us that college is not all about books but a lot about hands-on experience. The kick-off of that intellectual program for this year was held on the 21st of July at Murugappa hall. Students were encouraged to take part in it by the 1993 batch alumni. The function was presided over by our principal, Dr.A.Elango. Dr.C.Kamali, our college alumni who now pursues her career as  the Principal Scientist in CSIR-NAL,Bangalore and Mr.Cecil Sundar, alumni of 1994 batch who in present day is the Digital Transformation Leader and Microsoft Director of NPO made the event special as chief guests. They shared their endeavour to such great heights which was entirely inspiring. Er.Balajee Seshadri, 1984 batch alumni of our college showed up as a special guest of the event. ZOHO -PLACEMENT:                      The placements from our college have been appreciable owing to it's fineness . Many companies come by for campus interviews to our college and ZOHO is one  prestigious company among them. The actual selection process consists of four levels . The first filtering level involves aptitude test which took place today(19.7.18) in CSE department. Seventeen students got selected to the next level which is expected to be a programming skill testing level.The company showed up by the end of last semester for internship selection and 3 students from CSE dept succeeded in cracking through the levels. Expecting for the selection to give good results this year too. Club activities:          After college reopen everyone was busy attending their labs and lectures. Apart from these academic activities our college has a colourful side. There were many clubs and organisations functioning in our college. They all started their events by this week. Four main clubs of our college YRC, NSS, LEO AND ROTARACT proficiently got permission from our beloved principal for their new start in this academic year and successfully conducted their 1st event.  NSS AND YRC: As usual NSS and YRC started their field works. "Cleanliness is next to godliness",in order to achieve this 2nd year students of our college started cleaning our campus under the guidance of their 3rd and final year coordinators. LEO club: Club events such as LEO and ROTARACT were conducted on monday and Thursday respectively. This monday LEO managed to conduct an event named "I^2". TRACTOR COMPETITION:                         The best part of the competition is that through it we discover "what we are capable of -and how much more we can actually do than we ever believed possible". Accessions once again added a gem to the crown of the ACGCET . The Society of Automative Engineers(SAE) has conducted a Tractor Design Competition (TDC) for its first time in history . Our students as a member of SAE participated in the SAE southern section level competition. 25 Mechanical students from our college in the name of "ACCET INNOVATORS"  participated in the competition.  The competition was conducted in SRM college, Chennai. It was conducted for three consecutive days from 21st to 23 rd June.
