THIRAN PRIZE DISTRIBUTION: Everyone is familiar with 'THIRAN', a grand platform for innovative ideas of students taken over by our college alumni. Thiran 2k19 held a few weeks ago had its prize distribution on 23rd February. This year prize distribution was much more awaited due to the special rewards such as Special jury award and Regina papa award. Day initiated with project demos. Following this, the day's chief guest Mr.Vasanthan, our alumni Mr.Palaniappan and Mr.Senthil Anantha Prakash and our professor Mr.Natarajan delivered their valuable speech and revolutionary ideas. Every department was given with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and special awards with cash prizes of 5000 and 1000. Muthamil mandram:          Muthamil mandram holds its uniqueness of being the only language and culture club in our college. They conducted selection for coordinators among first year students last week. They showed great interest and took active participation. The first round was on 14th February which had one-on-one interview session and the second round was held on 20th Feb. The students were expected to stage a speech or write a comprehension for the second round.The participants are eagerly waiting for their results to be announced which is expected shortly. SPORTS: It is almost a month since the inter year sports day events started. THINK QUEST-2K19: Intra symposium of Electrical and Electronics department took place grantly on 13th February. Dr.Baskaran ,Head of the department, felicitated the gathering. Many technical events were conducted for both second and prefinal year students.The events include paper presentation, technical quiz,c chef, Faraday's friend and most importantly robo-soccer which crowned all the other events. Many students eagerly participated in different events. At the end of the day ,the winners of each events were announced. The valediction of these events will take place within few weeks. TOEFL - TRAINING: Our college always gives us a bunch of opportunities to mold us for a bright future. Now they have made up their plans to develop our skills to make us shine in abroad too.
