For further details, visit accet.co.in  History: Poona Pact-1932: The Poona Pact is an agreement between M K Gandhi and B R Ambedkar signed in the Yerwada Central Jail, Poona on September 24 th , 1932 on behalf of the depressed class for the reservation of the electoral seats in the Legislature of the British government. Dr.Ambedkar was representing the depressed classes. It was signed to end the fast that Gandhi was undertaking in jail as a protest against the decision by PM MacDonald to grant communal awards for minorities and the depressed classes.   Gandhi-Irwin Pact- 1931: The Gandhi-Irwin pact was a political agreement signed by Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Irwin, the then viceroy of India, on 5 March 1931 before the second Round Table Conference in London. It marked the end of a period of Civil Disobedience in India against British rule. The proposed conditions includes Discontinuation of Salt March by the Indian National Congress. Participation of INC in the Second Round Table Conference. Salt Satyagraha-1930: On 12 March 1930, Gandhi started the Dandi march from Sabarmati Ashram towards the small coastal village of Dandi. He marched against the state monopoly in manufacturing and selling of salt. Gandhi chose salt because it was used in every Indian household, yet people were not allowed to make salt even for domestic use. This march was 370 Kms which included many small and large regions. Gandhiji told “I shall die the death of crow and dog, but I will not return to this Ashram without attaining Poorna Swaraj” . Gandhi after reaching dandi broke the salt laws by manufacturing salt.
