  INSTITUTION’S INNOVATION COUNCIL The Institution’s Innovation Council of our college organized a meeting on “How to plan for start-up, legal and ethical steps” for the third-year mechanical students. The session was handled by our proud alumnus J. Kishore Kumar, founder of Karai Visual Photography, on 22nd August,2022. He expounded that one could turn their interests into a successful start up, irrespective of the field. The students felt this session was a very useful one. FRESHERS COORDINATOR SELECTION The fresher’s club of our college conducted coordinator selection for the second-year students. The coordinator selection took place on 23 rd and 24 th of August, first round and second round respectively at the EEE Classrooms.   INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION It makes our hearts beat with pride to see the colors of Independence Day spreading happiness and great joy all around. The 75th independence day was celebrated at our college on August 15th, 2022. The tricolor flag was unfurled by our beloved principal. The NCC cadets performed various signs including formation, flag drill and piloting.  INDUSTRY AWARENESS ORIENTATION PROGRAM The “Industry Awareness Orientation Program” was conducted for the students of 2 nd and 3 rd year Mechanical and Electrical departments on 12 th   August, 2022 at Murugappa Hall. By collaboration of the college placement cell and the alumni, the program was conducted. The job opportunities present in the industry field for engineering graduates were expounded clearly. The students were enlightened by this program.   ‘NATIONAL FLAG AT EVERY HOME’ & 'DRIVE AGAINST DRUGS’ AWARENESS RALLY The NSS and NCC unit of our college conducted ‘National flag at every home’ and 'drive against drugs’ awareness rally on 11 th August 2022. This was organised on the occasion of awareness day against drug  abuse and the 75 th Independence Day of our nation. The program was presided by our beloved principal Dr.P.K.Palani and vice principal Dr.K.Baskaran. The awareness rally was inaugurated by our chief guest Colonel Rajnish Pratap the commanding officer - 9 TN bn NCC Karaikudi. All the students along with the NCC cadets and NSS coordinators actively participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and made it a grand success.   NSS ORIENTATION PROGRAM The NSS unit of our college organized an orientation program on 2 nd of August, 2022 at Sangamam hall. The program was presided by our beloved principal Dr. P. K. Palani and was felicitated by our vice principal Dr. K. Baskaran. All the second year students attended this program. The energetic presence of the students and skillful organization of the coordinators made the event a grand success. YOGA PROGRAM The yoga club of ACGCET conducted a Good Life Awareness program for the second and third year mechanical students on   3 rd August, 2022 at Murugappa Hall. The program began at 9 am in the morning and ended at 4:30pm. The speakers guided the students to eat healthy food and directed them to lead a healthy life. The students found this session a useful and intriguing one.
