ACCET PRIDE - NSS NYLP ACCET, Karaikudi NSS team secured "NYLP AWARD", First Prize with a cash Prize of Rs.50000/- & a Silver Medal in the National Young Leadership Programme conducted by Anna University Chennai, National Youth Affairs and Sports &  NSS Regional Directorate. Clearing of karuvela trees and plastic and adoption of Palavangudi village by our ACCET NSS students played a key role for the NYLP award (Ref:accetnews cover story last week ). Hats off to the work of Prof. K. T. Loganathan (Department of chemistry) and Program officer Dr. S. Maariraji Mohan (Department of Civil) who did the presentation on the college activities. SPORTS MANIA As usual, even semester brings thrills and loads of excitement and fun with it. The primary source of ecstasy is Sports. The much awaited inter year battle is to start on 25th of February with the girls basketball match. CESAR 6 The Department of civil Engineering magnificently conducted, " A two day workshop on Advanced Surveying with training on total station, Laser distancemeter, planimeter & GPS"  held on 21.2.17 & 22.2.17.  The talk was presided over by Dr.V.M.Shanthi who made an illuminating spark in the Faculty members and the budding Engineers. An all boys CO, the 1967-1972 batch celebrated their Golden jubilee that weekend here at their haven. They interacted with student volunteers and shared their experiences with them. What's more!!! They donated Rs. 5,00,000 and also asked the students about their needs and deeds. PLACEMENT FEVER Our Final year students were in a pressure cooker situation this week. Two companies INFOFACES and FACE came for their recruitment. Eight students cracked their test and got placed in infofaces and 2 got placed in the face and added 4 got their internship there.
