Mechanical  Workshop: The Mechanical  department  of our college conducted national level workshops on Cloud robotics and Mercedes benz engine diagnosis along with their national level  technical  symposium SHACKLES 2K19. The two day workshop  on cloud robotics(common for all departments )  and Mercedes benz engine dignosis(only for mechanical students )was conducted for two days and mentored by the professors of IIT BOMBAY. Sports day: Ignituz'19, the most awaited ceremony, this year's sports day was conducted on 6th March. The events have been taking place for more than a month but on the big day, the athletic events were conducted. The athletes from all the four years took sportive participation in the events. The heat of the sun didn't stop the students from encouraging or cheering for their respective year. The overall trophy was won by the final years " Toreroz". They celebrated their victory and went on a victory lap.   ...

THIRAN PRIZE DISTRIBUTION: Everyone is familiar with 'THIRAN', a grand platform for innovative ideas of students taken over by our college alumni. Thiran 2k19 held a few weeks ago had its prize distribution on 23rd February. This year prize distribution was much more awaited due to the special rewards such as Special jury award and Regina papa award. Day initiated with project demos. Following this, the day's chief guest Mr.Vasanthan, our alumni Mr.Palaniappan and Mr.Senthil Anantha Prakash and our professor Mr.Natarajan delivered their valuable speech and revolutionary ideas. Every department was given with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and special awards with cash prizes of 5000 and 1000. Muthamil mandram:          Muthamil mandram holds its uniqueness of being the only language and culture club in our college. They conducted selection for coordinators among first year students last week. They showed great interest and took active participation. The first round was on 14th February which had one-on-one interview session and the second round was held on 20th Feb. The students were expected to stage a speech or write a comprehension for the second round.The participants are eagerly waiting for their results to be announced which is expected shortly. SPORTS: It is almost a month since the inter year sports day events started. THINK QUEST-2K19: Intra symposium of Electrical and Electronics department took place grantly on 13th February. Dr.Baskaran ,Head of the department, felicitated the gathering. Many technical events were conducted for both second and prefinal year students.The events include paper presentation, technical quiz,c chef, Faraday's friend and most importantly robo-soccer which crowned all the other events. Many students eagerly participated in different events. At the end of the day ,the winners of each events were announced. The valediction of these events will take place within few weeks. TOEFL - TRAINING: Our college always gives us a bunch of opportunities to mold us for a bright future. Now they have made up their plans to develop our skills to make us shine in abroad too. THIRAN DEMO DAY: Our college is gifted with so many previledges and Thiran is one of those. Every year, our Alumni make time in their busy schedule not just to take a peek at our projects but also guide us through it. This year there were around 100 projects in total from all the departments and 6 panels of judges. It was held on 26th January. The students made use of this stage to showcase their talents and innovative ideas. OGC SELECTION: The Thiran demo day infuriated the interest of First years to be a part of Thiran. So the next day(27.01.2019), they came over asking many doubts about how Thiran functions during the motivational talk given by our Alumni and professors. FRESHER'S CLUB: Resume speaks a lot about who you are. It is what makes the first impression of someone to the interviewer. And it definitely is a big deal to make it nothing less than just perfect. Fresher's club conducted a session regarding how to make an impressive resume. The first year students showed great interest and learnt a lot of new stuffs. Pongal function: 'Muthamil mandram' ,the most enthusiastic club of our college always excited us with its stand-alone programs. This week they celebrated harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, 'Pongal'. Wednesday morning was filled with colors, girls were busy participating  Rangoli competition followed by chaos of making pongal, traditionally offering it to Sun god and distributing them to students and staffs. And then started the fun, different games were conducted for everyone. Girls ran here and there one after another playing kho-kho while boys hit and hide one behind other playing Taj ball. Mid noon was engaged with games for staffs and our traditional game 'Uriyadithal' was filled with splendid performance of our Principal, staffs and students. Laughter and excitement occupied the place. Finally all fun was ceased with prize distribution and eagerness of upcoming 'Vidiyal'.
