BOWLING AH, FIELDING AH

As the name suggests, Rotaract club of our college has conducted an event mainly for cricket lovers. The event took place for 2 days on 25.2.23 and 26.2.23. Many students participated in the event. The runner up was team 6x and the winner was team 1st year kings. This is believed to be really motivating for first year students in the field of sports. The winners and runners received exciting prizes.

SERIES TEST

The series test-l for all second and third years was held from the 22nd to the 24th of February in Murugappa Hall and drawing hall of our college. Students had worked hard to prepare for this series test. This series test would assist them in preparing for their upcoming semester exams. As a result, the students have potential and should work on their weaknesses in order to achieve better results.

FRESHER’S EUPHORIA

Fresher's Euphoria is an event hosted by the ECE association to welcome freshers to the department. The ECE Department's entire students and faculties gathered collectively. The winners of the technical events (MATRIX) held during the Tachyonz - 22 Symposium on December 26, 2023 were announced and rewarded with certificates. A few fun events and a cultural performance were planned, which made this day special.

NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP

The NIC is a camp that is held in different parts of the country every year organized by the NSS. Our third-year volunteers, Thevi Srinidhi S and Vignesh Kumar R have taken part in this year’s NIC camp which is held at Haryana. By attending, the volunteers understand and value of the rich heritage of cultures that forge unity despite the diverse languages, traditions and regions of our country.

BREAK TIME

Though many events have been conducted by the Rotaract club this is something special. This time the Rotaract club of ACGCET came with a new event named ‘Break Time’, and the event is not for students but for the beloved workers of our college. This event took place in front of the Murugappa Hall on 27th Feb at 5.00 p.m. The ‘Music Club’ of our college joined hands with the Rotaract Club and delivered a special band performance in this special event.

The club members explained on the occasion as follows:

“Break time is an event organised by our final year, third year & second year co-ordinators for our college watchman and sweepers. In this event we have conducted fun events too. Everyone Participated happily and made us laugh through their sense of humour. There was a lot of crying too because they had opened their stories to us.”

HOSTEL DAY

 Finally, after a long wait, the most favourite day for all hostellers arrived. Yes, the feast day- ‘Thithikudhe’ was celebrated by hostel girls on 25.2.23 and 26.2.23. The event was organized by 2019-2023 batch and was completed successfully. Many fun events like splash memory, paper cup flip xo and even water games were conducted on Saturday morning. Then, there was cultural programs on the evening of both days. This would’ve been a good start for freshers to interact with each other.  The girls who were craving for good food for many weeks were satisfied with delicious food which was also served with kindness and love. Especially, the performance on the end of the event was like cherry on the top.

SCHOOL STUDENTS’ EXPOSURE VISIT

On 27th Feb, Government school students from 5 different schools visited our college for their exposure visit under Naan Muthalvan scheme. The program was held in Sangamam Hall from 9:30 to 1:30 with 50 school students and their staff in charges. It was organized by our NSS coordinators in a flawless manner. Our college Controller of Examination and Head of Electronics and Communication department, Dr. A. Sivanantha Raja Sir presided the program with his immense knowledge and wordings. He explained about the ways to join our college and the expected cut- off marks for all the departments. Then, they had a campus tour. Followed by that, culturals were held. Visits like this make them more motivated to study hard.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

The entrepreneurship development cell had conducted the entrepreneurship promotional activities which was held at Murugappa Hall on 28th February,2023. The function was welcomed by the EDC coordinator, Dr. B. Rajesh Kanna sir. The Felicitation address was then given by the professor and head of ECE department, Dr. A. Sivanantha Raja. The function was graced with the presence of our chief guests, Dr. T. Kannan, the General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Sivagangai and Dr.C.Vethirajan, Director of Alagappa University and the Hub Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute Hub of Alagappa University. The guest Enlighted the student about various government schemes for entrepreneurship, business planning, business modelling and various funding opportunities available. The speeches given by our respected guests were insightful and was a succour to the young minds on the essence of entrepreneurship.

ALUMNI BASKETBALL MATCH

The biggest strength of our college is our alumni. They provide everything for our wellness without any expectations. One such thing is the State level alumni basketball match. It was held in Alagappa Physical education college on 24th Feb. Our college basketball team participated in the event with the guidance of Mano Sir. They did their best and reached till quarter finals. Appreciations to all the participated players.

EEE SYMPOSIUM

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of our college conducted an inter college technical symposium on March 1st ,2023. The ALCONESY’23 had various technical events which includes paper presentation, project presentation and many more and non-technical events like photography. Students from other colleges eagerly participated in the events and bagged the prizes.
