APTITUDE TEST

The aptitude tests for third-year students were conducted on March 20 for Mechanical Engineering, March 21 for Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), and March 22 for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) departments respectively. Students from each department actively participated in the tests, aiming to enhance their skills for the upcoming mock drive organized by the placement cell.

YAAZH

On March 19, 2024, ACGCET celebrated the inauguration of its music club “Yaazh” with esteemed guests Athangudi Ilayaraja and Principal Dr. K. Bhaskaran. The event showcased a diverse range of musical performances, captivating the audience with outstanding talent and creativity. As the evening unfolded, attendees were treated to a mesmerizing music fest, highlighting the vibrant cultural spirit of the institution. The presence of renowned figures like Athangudi Ilayaraja and Dr. K. Bhaskaran added prestige to the occasion, underscoring the importance of music in education. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their musical prowess and foster a sense of community through shared artistic expression.

FEAST DAY

At ACGCET girls hostel , students had a feast day on 23.03.2024and 24.03.2024. They celebrated the Feast Day together. Everyone from all years came to enjoy food and watch cultural performances. Throughout the two days, the hostel buzzed with music and lively performances, showcasing the talents of the students . The fourth year girls organized everything and made sure everyone had a great time. They made memories they will always remember.

MEN’S KABADDI

In the intense ACMARA RIVALRY 24 Men’s Kabaddi semi-finals, 1st years clashed with 4th years, while 2nd years faced off against 3rd years. The formidable 2nd and 4th-year teams advanced to a thrilling final showdown. In an electrifying match, the 2nd-year men displayed exceptional skill and strategy to emerge victorious, securing the championship title and adding another triumph to their ACMARA RIVALRY journey.

SHACKLES

The mechanical department of our college conducted the national level inter college technical symposium, Shackles on March 21 and 22 this year. The event was held with our principal Dr. K. Bhaskaran sir as the chief guest. On the first day, workshops on topics like computational analysis, additive manufacturing were held for the students. The next day, many technical events like paper presentation, car modeling, etc and non technical events like paper craft were conducted. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the eny.

NSS CAMP

The National Service Scheme of our college planned a seven days Special Camp for the academic year 2024 from 15th March to 21st March at a nearby village called Kothari. The camp was held successfully with an active participation of about 150 second year NSS volunteers. The inauguration of the camp was held on 15th March with the gracious presence of Law college principal Dr. Ramapiran Ranjith Singh sir and NSS Program Officers Professor S.Balasundar sir, Dr . S.M.Sivagami mam and Dr R. N. Mariammal mam. The camp included various field works and other activities to keep the volunteers engaged and various faculties from our college delivered speeches every day. The valediction of the camp was held on 21st  March in the presence of our Principal Dr. K. Baskaran sir, Former NSS coordinator professor K.T.Loganathan sir and NSS Program Officers Professor S.Balasundar sir, Dr . S.M.Sivagami mam and Dr R. N. Mariammal mam, NSS coordinators and people of Kothari village.

MOCK DRIVE

The mock drive at ACGCET commenced with a preliminary round focusing on general aptitude, setting the stage for students to showcase their foundational skills. This initial segment aimed to assess students’ problem-solving abilities, numerical reasoning, and verbal aptitude. Students from both IT and core disciplines engaged in rigorous testing, honing their critical thinking and time management skills under simulated interview conditions. Facilitated by alumni, this round provided invaluable insights into the demands of real-world interviews, preparing students for the competitive landscape ahead. Such initiatives not only foster confidence but also equip students with the necessary tools to excel in their professional pursuits.

ROTAODYSSEY

On 3rd April, The Rotaract Club of ACGCET conducted its valediction program in the EEE virtual hall from 5 P.M. This program included the Charter presentation by the Rtn. PAG. Dr. Arunesh. K, district Rotaract Chairman RID 3212, the announcement of office bearers for the year 2024-2025 and release of their magazine ‘MAGIZH'24’. Bharathi P from 3rd yr MECH is the President and Shruthi from 3rd CIVIL is the Secretary for the upcoming year. Our Principal Dr. K. Bhaskaran Sir presided the program and Rtr. V. Pradeep Sir honored with his presence. President and Secretary of Rotary Club of Karaikudi, Rtn V. Nagarajan and Rtn. P. Sureshkumar felicitated the entire program.

LEO VALEDICTION

The LEO club of our college conducted the most awaited Valedictory function of the year 2023-2024 on March 28, 2024 at Murugappa hall. With the gracious presence of the club’s staff In charge Professor V.Jawahar sir of Mechanical department, the valedictory function was held successfully. The coordinators were given certificates and the office bearers of the upcoming year was announced by  Secretary Vishnupriya from final year EEE department. The office bearers are Arun Kumar as President, Yogadharshinii as Vice President, Sherly Joys as Secretary ,Gandhi Raj as Joint secretary,  Harini as Treasurer, Vijay Muruga as Joint treasurer, Veerakumar as Design lead, Rama and Praveen as Media lead, Anitha and Karthick as Documentation lead and Pooja , Sherin Kabiba Begum, Muthupriyadharshini, Hariharan, Vishnuvaradhan as Chief event organisers.It was followed by a wonderful performance by our students.

FRESHERS’ VALEDICTION

On Friday, March 15, 2024, the freshers association valedictory programme was held in our college’s sangamam hall.Dr. B.V. Bhuvaneshwari mam was the event’s chief guest.Shaktiganesh from the mechanical department will serve as the association’s next president. Other positions were also chosen by the association.The event was a great success and the programme was run smoothly.

CULTURALS – ZHAGARAM’24

“The most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are memories and moments. If you don’t celebrate those, they can pass you by!”

The event of the year, Zhagaram’24, was a two-day culturals celebrated by the entire college. Our honourable principal, Dr.K. Baskaran and our respected professors had graced us with their presence. the function began with wise words from our principal and the events had begun. “Those who wish to sing always finds a song” students of all years took part in singing a variety of songs. Students had also given speeches on different topics and recited poems A joyous atmosphere was created with their wonderful talents.

The second day of the culturals had arrived. The honorary chief guest of the day was J. Anister Regin Rose, NSD (national school of drama), an Actor, Acting trainer and theatre practitioner had graced us with his presence. He had given an insightful talk about the movie industry and acting as career. With his motivational words, the students were deeply inspired to follow their dreams and passions. The events of the had begun starting with our college singing talents. Flashmobs by every year was performed with great Vigor and enthusiasm along with a silambam performance by the students. The dances by the students were performed in the open auditorium of our college. The atmosphere was lively and jovial with the entire college gathered to celebrate the culturals. Various classical, cultural and hip-hop dances were done by students of different years. The heritage show had given everyone to display their creativity in exhibiting different cultures. Short films were showcased, highlighting their scripting and acting skills. The day ended on a great note. Owing our deepest gratitude and thanks to our respected principal, our culturals organising coordinator K.T.Loganathan and the cultural coordinators and team for their efforts in making the event successful and to all the students who took part to make this event a grand success!!

SERIES TEST

For all students of 3rd, 2ndand 1st year, series test was conducted on 1st,2nd and 3rd of April. 3rd years had their 2nd series test and for all other it was the 1st.

MUTHAMIZH MANDRAM- VIDIYAL’24

On 8th of this month, Muthamizh mandram of our college conducted the Vidiyal event with astrophysicist, Dr. Nellai S Muthu as the chief guest. The event started with the chief guest, Dr. Nellai S Muthu orating about his work and life and it proceeded with the release of the magazine. Cultural programs were also conducted to keep the crowd entertained. The students gained knowledge related to astronomy and also enjoyed the program as a whole.
