PONGAL CELEBRATIONS
Pongal honours the pride of south India, which is nothing but Agriculture !!!! Everyone of us may have the wish of celebrating pongal in a traditional way , which includes a lovely village providing a warm welcome to us with its green carpet and a happy home with relatives or friends around . With the blessings of nature , pongal was celebrated heartily, hoping for a prosperous year ahead . Muthamizh mandram of our college enthusiastically took today's festival in grand manner . Our honourable principal initiated the celebration by 8 am . Our principal and vice principal conveyed their pongal wishes to all . Let us hope for great days ahead!
EYE DONATION CAMP
"DONATE EYES AND LIVE EVEN AFTER DEATH" - with this motto Dr. J. Ganesan, District Chairperson for Eye Donation, held an interactive session with the students of second and third year about the importance of donating eyes. He discussed about all the basic information needed to be known for eye donation. He delivered all his information via question and answers. He posted questions to students, who eagerly answered it and received prizes. Not only that, he also gave some safety measures to safeguard eyes and many interesting facts about them.
CAMPUS DRIVE
The mechanical core company saint gobain visited our college this week. 55 students attended the placement. Among them 12 students cleared their first round and 8 of them got selected for group discussion and one attended the technical round and personal interview and waiting for the final round which will be held on march. In addition to this, intern selection was also held in which three online tests were conducted. Two EEE students got their intern for the period of 45 days.

Roca event:
Rotaract conducted a pinnacle section this monday.
Leo event:
Leo club had conducted a preliminary quiz for students as a trailer for mega event. It was conducted as an encouragement event.
THIRAN PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
09.01.2016 was THIRAN prize distribution day. The function grandly started by 10 with the presence of Mr RaviKumar(staff in charge of THIRAN),Alumni: Mr.Senthil Anandha Prakash, Mr.Sasikumar, Mr.Vijay krishna, Mr.Krishna Kumar and our beloved staffs Mr.Sivanandharaja, Mr.Senthil Kumar and many more. Third ,Second and First prize winners were announced and honoured with momento and certificates. In addition to this, Mr.Vijay krishna addressed the gathering about his campus visit(ZOHO)to ACCET and also pictured the status of ACCETIANS over this massive competitive world. The function ended with a short 40 minutes interactive session about the expectations of students from THIRAN.

A dream project come true, ACCET RADIO, has been doing a great work.
It was on air on 9th of January this week..!!

OPPORTUNITIES AT MY DOORSTEP
Indian Engineering Olympiad(IEO) is a pan-India event to offer a real test of engineering aptitude for the engineering students in their respective fields on a national platform.Over1,20,000students, including several from the best of the engineering colleges across the country,are expected to participate in the contest to test their skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
*.Students currently studying in 2nd, 3rd & 4th year engineering only are eligible for appearing in the Olympiad exam.
*.Students who have already graduated are NOT eligible for the exam.
