PLACEMENT FEVER

The most awaited company, TECH MAHINDRA, came to our campus on Tuesday (30.08.2016 ). They conducted three rounds in which, around 150 students attended the first round, online apps, out  of which 45 students were advanced to the next levels, story writing and technical interview. Finally, 17 students were recruited by the company - MECH - 4,ECE -7,EEE-3, CSE-3. Hearty congratulations to all!!!
Also ZOHO have made their way back to our college today(1st of September). Students are frantic to grab their second chance in getting placed in it.

WORKSHOP CORNER

The department of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering join their hands in conducting an interdepartmental Faculty Development Program on "Drives and Control" from 22nd of August to 4th of September. Also, the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organised a one week training programme on "Advances in Optical Communication" from 29th of August to 4th of September. Speakers from various institutions shared their expertise. The department of Computer Science and Engineering is also conducting a two weeks short term training programme on "Optimisation Techniques for solving Engineering Problems from 22nd of August to 4th of September.

ME ADMISSION

Every student has the desire to do something in future after their BE degree. In such a way, some awesome, talented and enthusiastic students are here to start their new future as an ME student in our college.  Admission for the ME was held on 30.8.2016(Tuesday) at the Murugappa Hall. Hope they have a bright future ahead.

SPORTS BONANZA!!!

After a long time, ACCET WOMEN are here to rewrite the basketball history with a GOLD medal in Anna university Zonals, 2016, conducted in our college.The match was inaugurated by our Principal Prof. Rajakumar and with the nature's blessing, the team marked their victory. Under the captainship of J.Joshna Sabatini the team gave a majestic hit to MOUNTZION WOMEN by 24 - 17 in the finals. As another flower to the garland of victory, the Table tennis players got a silver medal in the zonals which was held at U.G.E college,Ramnad. In addition to that, the cricket zonal was scheduled between 29.8.16 to 2.9.16 and our players are curiously waiting to catch the rope of gold medal.

CLUB ACTIVITIES

Team event, " Share It ", insisting the matters behind message passing , got a warm welcome among the participants .

ISTE 

" kick o' brainy " ! Task of cracking the given riddle also cracks the hidden thinking ability of the students .

LEO 

In the placement fever , all have got to have the skill of solving aptitudes. "Quants" gave a good learning platform for the Leo learners.

ROTARACT 

Last week the event "If I Were !" woke up the dreaming minds and let them to think and act accordingly . Today's event "Blah Blah" is awaiting with enthusiasm

RYLA 

Selection procedures for those who are willing to take part in Thenmalai Ryla and Selva Ryla went successfully on 28th of August. Great moments are awaiting the upcoming rylarians.

NSS 

Inauguration for the fresh NSS volunteers took place in Murugappa Hall on 29 th of August. Our beloved principal Dr.S.Rajakumar sir presided over the function and prof.A.Palanisamy,  Sports secretary , Bharathidhasan university felicitated the gathering. The chief guest and our Principal planted saplings on this occasion.

YRC 

Youth Red Cross launched their inaugural function on 30th of August. Our principal presided over the function and Mrs.Chitra addressed the gathering, insisting the service.

National Youth Poetry Slam, 2016

 Spoken word  is the fastest growing cultural phenomenon among the youth and the strongest medium of expression of young people. The NYPS Grand Slam is the finale of National Youth Poetry Slam (NYPS), where the best 25 college slam teams in India have been selected through a 3-month audition process, and they will now compete against one another at the NYPS Grand Slam. India’s first ever national level poetry slam competition to be held in Bangalore on September17 and September 18, 2016. The finale will gather over 1500 colleges students and around 250 high school kids at one place for multiple performances, workshops, and sessions with mentors and jury.

MS VS ME

What you actually need to do, MS or ME ?
What do they both mean….are these two courses different?
A Master of Science in Engineering degree can have an area of focus in a wide range of fields, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and engineering management. This type of degree usually emphasizes research and requires a thesis for completion, making it the optimum degree for graduates who wish to pursue a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) after completing the master’s program.
The Master of Engineering program is aimed toward equipping students with technical preparation for fieldwork practice. Students in this program spend more time in actual coursework than research, so this degree does not prepare students well for a Ph.D. program. However, most employers accept a Master of Engineering as easily as a Master of Science in Engineering. This degree does not include a thesis, so it can normally be completed in less time than a Master of Science in Engineering.
 As a basic rule of thumb, the Master of Science degree includes more research based work, and the Master of Engineering includes more coursework
