SANGAMAM ‘92

It is rightly said that every parting is a form of death, as every reunion is a type of heaven. The recent event of Sangamam ’92 which was held on 5th august,2017 proved it all. Entire college was decorated and lit up by colourful lights. Whole college was excited about it because not only of 1992 Sangamam but also for the inauguration of open air amphitheatre. The Sangamam ceremony was celebrated with great pomp and show. Inauguration of open air amphitheatre was done by Prof.Dr.S Nilavalagan(Retd) which was presided by our beloved principal Dr.A Elango. It is believed that like branches of a tree, lives may grow in different directions, yet roots remain as one. This positive minded 1988-92 alumni batch seems to have this clearly in their mind. They donated total estimation of 5 crores for this open air amphitheatre as well as for its gallery. Although gallery is yet to be made, open air amphitheatre already brightens the campus beauty of ACCET.

Alumni’s of 1992 batch are 195 in strength, which includes four department. It’s always a well-known fact that reunion is one of the most awaited event for every individual. But when this reunion involves along with families, it turns into something awesome and worthy. Its everybody’s wish to show their family members and loved ones the place where they studied, the second home where they learnt everything to be a better person in life. All those feelings were seen on the eyes of this ’92 alumni’s. They were cherishing their old and unforgettable memories along with their loved ones. The open air amphitheatre was of 50 days ultimatum. In a very less period of time it was completed beautifully. Sangamam Event included with lots of cultural activities and meaningful speeches by alumni’s. Family members of the alumni also took an active participation in the event.

It seems that ACCET produce excellence from the beginning of the era. Not only in the field of academics and career but also in producing better human beings. In today’s globalised technological world everybody seems to be busy in their own world. But the ACCETians since millennium they are the one who believes in the reminiscence of those days where they learnt everything and most importantly to be a valuable asset in today’s competitive world. They seem to be very much attached with the college and it can be seen through this uncountable donations and also great initiatives for betterment and development of the college. Even after decades of decades it seems to that in their heart, ACCET is still preserved and they are proud to be an ACCETian, which also is the most influential and inspirational source for today’s generation of ACCET. After eye witnessing what they are returning back and what mindset alumni’s have for college its quite obvious for today’s generation of ACCET to be more focussed and to follow their footprints. Today’s generation have an immense respect for all those alumni’s who are inspiring and encouraging to follow the same path and never to forget where they learnt everything.

Freshers' Admission

August 6 & 5 got every officials caught up with jobs as the fresher's of Accet family made their admission at murugappa hall. The admissions for EEE and mechanical dept took place on august 5 followed by ECE CSE and Civil dept on 6th august.

The orientation function and admission process , all were coordinated and assisted by the freshers association volunteers,helping all the confused parents and buds of ACCET with agility . To everyone's surprise, the Best Student Award was given to two students- haritha of mechanical dept and Vijay balaji of EEE dept along with 8gm gold medal. They stood as an imposing idol,giving away their piece of mind to the freshers. As usual, all enjoyed their afternoon delicacy meals at the mess and gratified their feedbacks and point of views.

ZONAL

Our ACCET begin to footed its legs on sports , As a result of it the TABLE TENNIS tournament was conducted at ZONAL level , our ACCETIANS were enthusiactially participated on this match which was held on CHENDURAN engineering college in pudukkottai at 7/8/17 & 8/8/17. Our students proved their talents and they secured BRONZE (third place). The players from our college are AHMISA PRIYA .D, final year CSE. ANUSHA.B.C,final year,ECE.SAROJINI.V, third year,ECE.SUPRAJA. P,third year,ECE.ARUNASRI.K,third year, EEE.
Let us also wish the badminton team to taste the flavour of success.

Raksha bandhan

Raksha bandhan or simply Rakhi is a Hindu festival celebrated in many parts of the Indian subcontinent notably India and Nepal.Raksha bandhan means bond of protection. It is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu luni-solar calendar month of shravana which typically falls in Gregorian calendar month of August.

The festival celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters. It also popularly used to celebrate any brother-sister type of relationship between men and women who may or may not be biologically related.On Raksha bandhan a sister ties a rakhi on her brothers wrist with a prayer for his prosperity and happiness.This symbolises the sisters love.The brother gives her a token gift and a promise to protect her.

Club activities

LEO Coordinator selection:

On Tuesday ,the students from various departments including 2nd and 3rd year were showed their involvement for selection.The selection were conducted in three panels with well talented Leo family of ACCET. Over 50-60 attended the interview which made the people very tough to be selected and at last ,the results came today."Leadership is the capacity to translate the vision into reality ". The coordinator for upcoming years will be in the below poster.

Friendship day reveals an amazing event in the Leo club of ACCET.The event titled as Amigo Mania which means friend and it denotes coordination among friends.The list of events includes logical puzzles, Photo Mania which is an indirect address of some location and to identify the place to take photos.Next is a Tear and Tare and it tells about a secret in your life with how much you tore an single sheet.Next ,Imaging which means memorize an 13 products and to deliver it on stage. This were a group of events which enhances the students to be more active and to become more involved in events. The price winners were awarded by the Leo Secretaries.

ISTE - Indian Society for Technical Education

ISTE ,the biggest platform for providing technical education to students stepped into an event of teaching RESUME in Photoshop. The session was held at Sangamam Hall at 4.45pm.With a decent strength of second and third years,Jayanth .M ,a final year student as well as the chief placement coordinator took over the session in association with chidhambaranaadhan.They also revealed many websites for job applications to young minds.Students who have immense interest in designing actively attended the session.

ROTARACT CLUB OF ACCET

Today ,the freshers came into the event with a blast and showed a mass performance in the event of CHAZZEUR .CHAZZEUR which means the hunter and to achieve something in that events.The event includes group events to identify the personal details of the team mates next is connection.It achieved a strength of about 144 students.Surprise gifts were given to people who had their parents photos in their belongings.Finally,the star of the events goes 3 team mates who made the event full of enjoyment and attended actively.
