RUTHRAM:
It was a pleasant week with marvellous programs. One such most awaited event RUTHRAM 2k18 flashed this week. It all started with rainfall on evening of march 15. Then our traditional tamilthai valthu followed by vallal valthu, lamp enlightment, and speech by our beloved principal A.Elango, prof. Sivanesan, and prof. Pannerselvam. Then a motivational speech by our chiefguest M.Stalin Aarokyaraj(head of St.Micheal educational team) and A.Hayasind Suganthi (principal of Sri Rajarajan college of engineering and technology). And then started our spirits with our traditional Bharatham followed by energetic performance of our 1st year boys. Each and every performance was unique. Each year had presented their mass performances. The freshers of the year have made their mark by giving an outstanding performance. Aashif of 1st year sung a wonderful song, fusion by boys and drama done by them based on transgender got a standing ovation. Then came our second year performances. A solo dance by Maarishvara kannan, fusion by girl, property fusion by boys and folk by boys made everyone scream with joy. Third year presented their talents with a property fusion by girls, boys vs girls, mimicry. This year everyone was excited on hearing the sweet voice of Achum, a north indian girl, in our chemmozhi. And then came our final years with their outstanding performances. They presented a drama, dance performace by boys in our traditional outfit and the song sung by Yadav Prabeen got a great applause. Our college cultral talents not only stopped here, it was extended by fabulous performances of P.G students. Kishore of M.E 2nd year gave a marvellous dance performace combined with a second year boy Jeevan and Suganya of M.E final year made us bloom with her fabulous voice. The program became much more terrific when our principal along with his wife made a beautiful performance with their magestic voice showing their love towards our final year students. 1st day of culturals created a pleasure in our hearts.
The 2nd day was much more awesome. This day became delightful with an exciting chief guest, S.Ravi mariya, actor and director of some well known movies. He is obvious for his humor skills and we came to see it live by his heart earning speech. Thus second day of culturals started with smile. This was followed by a semi classical dance by our girls, a classical dance by our college M.E students. A boy from 2nd year showed his skills on mouthorgan, there was a property fusion by 1st year girls as well as boys, a traditional dance by 2nd year girls, friendship theme by 3rd year girls and at final a musical performance was given by or staffs which blowed our minds. Beat freakzz of our college gave an terrific performance which was equalled by zero gravity of our girls which was a treat to everyone. Then a cheerful performance was given by our college music club, Shristi. Various Department dance was presented by our final year students and it ended with a short flim by our third year students A.Kumaresh,3rd,Year,CSE . A heart earning video was dedicated to our final year students which bought tears in all our eyes. It became massive when on stage performance was equalled by off stage performance of our final year. And finally our freshers, ROVONZ won the overall cultural trophy with their massive performance. With this our second day culturals ended with enjoyment. Our eyes sparked on seeing a well mastered performances of both boys and girls. On the whole RUTHRAM 2k18 was a grand success with the cultural talents of stars of ACGCET
Faculty Development Program:
The truth goes like "when one teaches, two learns". Going by these words, a teacher never stops learning. And that is the very essence of a faculty development program. One such program was held in our college premises on the topic of "Advanced Manufacturing Processes".
The AICTE-QIP sponsored one week program commenced on 19th and is about to last till 25th of March. The crowd of the event was made privileged by having Mr.B.K.Rajamohan ,the general manager of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. as the chief guest. The knowledgeables from various colleges came around to enrich the crowd on upcoming technologies and stuffs. This intellectual program was co-ordinated by Dr.S.Sankara Pandian ,professor of mechanical department in our college.
Thus for one other time ,our college was being a residence to a whole lot of wit and knowledge.
ESPERANZIA-2K18:
Transformation to higher education of our fresher’s enthusiastic moment ;yes ,it’s a time for SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES ASSOCIATION . A TEQUIP-3 sponsored two days sponsored two days state level science and humanities symposium ESPERANZIA -2K18 on 22/03/2018 and 23/03/2018.And the day started with valuable speech by our principal Dr.A.Elango and Er.J.Senthil thambi ( assistant divisional engineer ,highways department -Tanjore division).
Students participation still cheered up an event to knowledgeable , paper presentation of our student makes to gain more .And this time the topic is related to civics and English .Real willpower will be proved only when there is courage , it is proved by our students by their brief description on topics presented by their paper presentation. Event will be unfilled without fun. Yes ,it is done by fun events like Left hand polo, Cube magic, Zigzag, Tweak the peak .Everyday ends by gaining something new and this day overflowed with knowledge.
NSS WORKSHOP ON DOCUMENTATION:
The two day workshop on "NSS documentation" was conducted by our National Service Scheme unit of our college. The workshop successful started with the orientation program . NSS Regional Director Mr.Samuel chellaiya headed the function with his inspiring speech on national service. Anna University NSS coordinator Mr.Ramesh accompanied the gathering.
The first day workshop started with the 1st session ,took over by Mr.Ramesh. The session was fully about the documentation,procedures for applying for nss awards. It was followed by second session conducted by Mr.Samuel chellaiya. The second day started with a third session with a chief guest who is Programming Officer from Karaikal polytechnic college.The last session was conducted by Programming Officer ,from Madurai American college. He shared his cherishing experience of winning IG award for the second time. The workshop came to an end by certificate distribution for the participates.This workshop added an extra gem to the crown of the NSS unit of our ACGCET.
