CNC - WORKSHOP:
I’m extremely happy to get an opportunity to express my gratitude towards the love of my teachers. Unlike, any other international days, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries. In our country, on this day- the 5th of September, some of the students and friends of our former president Dr. S Radhakrishnan approached him to celebrate his birthday.But the genial teacher refused and asked to observe this day as a national teachers day instead of his birthday. Such was the love and respect of a teacher for his profession.
Every individual is an enlarged replica of their teachers.“We cannot always build the future for our youth,But we can build our youth for the future.”Teachers are the ones who establish young minds and thus indeed are the Nation-Builders.
“A teacher is the one who knows the way, shows the way, goes the way, and leads others through the way.”Sir Isaac Newton once said-“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”What we gain from our teachers, our parents, everyone who guides us is no less than that from a giant. Teachers are the beacons who empower us to make the wind favourable to our journey and help us set sail to reach further academically and socially.
I remember my teacher's words when I asked him – "What do you get by teaching them? They get a job and then they forget you."He said- "That is the greatest sign of success for a teacher, when he can say that the children he once taught are now working as if he doesn’t exist!"
A teacher affects eternity. You can never tell where his influence stops.Thank you teachers for your valuable contribution, guidance and encouragement that have given new impetus to our work.
FUN FACTS:

A bunch of workshops are being conducted in our college in recent times. As chalk and cheese every Department conducts its own workshops. One such workshop conducted by our mechanical department was "CNC". It was a four day program conducted on 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th August. This was organised by our principal Dr.A.Elango and Prof.Perumal of mechanical department mainly to deport the skills on our students. Through this workshop students overtook knowledge on Computer Numerical Control and Computer Aided Manufacturing. They studied the concept by correlating it with their core topics Milling and Lathe machines. And they exerted their designs using Uniq graphics. As a whole the 4 day acknowledgement of CNC was much fascinating.
LEO CLUB - INSTALLATION:
Beginnings are always worth celebrating. Our college's Leo club celebrated their 22nd installation in a grand manner. The function was presided over by our respected Principal Dr.A.Elango. Sangamam hall witnessed one other mega celebration today( 06.09.2018). An unforgettable dinner brought the function to a remarkable end.
ISTE:
ISTE has been conducting knowledgeable events every week and this week was no different from the rest. The second year students attended the events with so much curiosity and left with lot of wisdom.
The Civil department gave a knowledge share on Strength of materials topic and Computer science department shared about Data Structures.
CLUB ACTIVITIES:
LEO :
This week's club activities initiated with the event 'STARFA' by LEO club of ACGCET. The students were divided into groups and each group were initiated with a story which is to be made up by themselves to the next level. The hall was filled with laughter by the majestic performance of the students. This event was a conjugation of fun, laughter and overcoming stage fear which completed the main motive of this event. They had a great experience.
FRESHER'S CLUB:
In order to overcome the fear of transformation from school life to college ,our college fresher’s club organise an event for the active participation of students to cheer them up. This week an event was held on Tuesday 4th of September named ‘IRUDIA AZALPENA’ which comprises of several team and each given with some sentence to find out .This sentence will be identified through the drawings made by their team members .This is really an energy booster ,a mind refresher for the fresher's .
ROTRACT:
This week ROTARACT event was an enthusiastic one 'CONSOCIATE' in which a connection like event was conducted.Students were given some clue to identify the thing. It was a fun event and students were so eager to attend it.And really it is great booster for the fresher's .Thus the Wednesday evening (05.09.18) terminated with a grand fun event with laughter and active participation.
