GENERAL ARTICLE :

FIRE IN THE LUNGS OF THE WORLD

Amazon rainforest produces almost 20% of Earth’s oxygen that all living beings intakes for survival. An unpredicted number of fires have raged in Amazon’s rainforest for more than 2 weeks, more than 74000 fires so far this year in Brazil and it is the most from the records. On the second week of August NASA’s satellite found the layers of smoke over Amazon. They alerted the Brazil’s government to save the indigenous people and the ecosystem. Jair Bolsonaro, the president of Brazil made a promise in 2018 election that he will make use of Amazon for the development of Brazil. September tends to be the dry season for brazil and so the people over there with the support of government set fire for the forest. They destroyed places where used for agriculture and to construct buildings. Simply they destroy the forest to develop agriculture. Although it may be good for their economy but it drastically affects the worlds oxygen supply.

ADVERSE EFFETCS

10 out of 1 species that we see in the world lives in amazon will be affected.
40,000 plant species exclusively found in amazon will be destroyed.
1300 bird species will become extinct.
3000 types of will become endangered.
430 kinds of mammals will be under the risk of extinction.
2.5 million kinds of insects will be destroyed.

When you are reading this article still the Amazon is holding its breathe to make us breathe.  Sand from SAHARA desert travels thousands of kilometres and transforms into fertilizer for Amazon. Birds from several parts of the world gives their waste as the manure for the habitats in Amazon. But we humans destroy them for our selfish needs.

“What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.”

DO YOU KNOW ?

1.A sentence which contains all 26 letters of the English alphabet is called a pangram. A famous pangram is: “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. ”but there are even shorter ones such as: “Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.”

2.Mobile phones contain many more bacteria than a toilet flush : According to several studies, the number of bacteria found on the screens of mobile phones is 20 and 30 times more than what has been found in a toilet bowl. So that’s a good reason to keep it away from your mouth, don’t you think?

3.On average a pen can write approximately 45,000 words before running out of ink.

4.I' is the most powerful letter in the alphabet, because it refers to ourselves, and that is something we have control over. You can make a difference in the world, and only you know how much of one. Because egocentricity is one of the most powerful things in human life.

2.The answer is b) 75°

In 1 hour, the hour hand's make an angle of 30°. The hour hand make the angle of x° in 8 30/60 hours.
- X = ( 30 × 8 ½)°
-    = ( 30 × 17/2) = 225°
The minute hand make the angle in 1 minute = 6°.
Minute hand makes the angle in 30 minutes = (6 × 30° ) = 180°
Required angle = 255° - 180° = 75°
