LAW:

Last week have seen about Right to information which is an implied fundamental right, a constitutional right and a legal right. Let’s discuss about fundamental rights.

What are fundamental rights?
Fundamental rights are the basic human rights of all citizens irrespective of the race, place of birth, religion, caste, or gender. These are the rights given and protected by the constitution. Fundamental Rights come under 3rd part of the constitution . At first there were 7 fundamental rights. But the right to property was removed from the fundamental rights by the 44th amendment act, 1978.
So there are six fundamental rights. They are,

1.Right to equality (Articles. 14-18)
The right to equality ensures equal rights of all the citizens. It  ensures equality of opportunity in public employment and also it prohibits inequality on the basis of race, place of birth, caste, religion or gender.

2.Right to Freedom (Articles. 19-22)
The right to freedom provides various rights. It includes freedom of speech, expression, movement,  assembly and practicing any profession. These rights have their own restrictions.

3.Right Against exploitation (Articles. 23-24)
The right against exploitation slams human trafficking, child labour and forced labour.

4.Right to Freedom of Religion (Articles. 25- 28)
The right to freedom of religion ensures religious freedom and secularity. This also ensures the freedom of conscience and the right to preach, practice and propagate according to the individuals choice.

5.Cultural and Educational Rights (Articles. 29-30)
The Cultural and educational Rights protect the culture, language or script, and right of minorities to conserve their heritage. It also ensures education for all without any discrimination.

6.Right to Constitutional remedies (Articles. 32-35)
The right to constitutional remedies ensures the enforcement of fundamental rights. In case of any violation of fundamental rights a citizen can go to Supreme Court for the enforcement.

In addition to these 6 fundamental rights, on 24 August 2017 Supreme Court have declared the Right to privacy as a fundamental rights.
The right to privacy is underlying part of article 21 (right to freedom) which ensures liberty of citizens and their personal security.

GENERAL ARTICLE
UNDERSTANDING CAPITALISM

Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private ownership of the means of production, especially in the industrial sector.

Capitalism depends on the enforcement of private property rights, which provide incentives for investment in and productive use of productive capital.

Capitalism developed historically out of previous systems of feudalism and mercantilism in Europe, and dramatically expanded industrialization and the large-scale availability of mass-market consumer goods.

Pure capitalism can be contrasted with pure socialism (where all means of production are collective or state-owned) and mixed economies (which lie on a continuum between pure capitalism and pure socialism).capitalist earns the highest profit by using capital goods most efficiently while producing the highest-value good or service. In this system, information about what is highest-valued is transmitted through those prices at which another individual voluntarily purchases the capitalist’s good or service. Profits are an indication that less valuable inputs have been transformed into more valuable outputs. By contrast, the capitalist suffers losses when capital resources are not used efficiently and instead create less valuable outputs.

ANSWER FOR LAST WEEK QUESTIONS
1)Answer: Option(B) 133.3 km/hr
Solution:
Let the speed of the bus and car is 8x and 6x.
Speed = Distance/Time
Speed of car = (200/2) = 100 km/hr
so, 6x = 100
x = (100/6) = (50/3)km/hr
Hence, Speed of bus = 8x = 8*(50/3) = (400/3) = 133.3 km/hr.

2)Answer: Option(B) 42 years
Solution:
Let the present age of Ram be x.
Let the present age of Ram's father be y.
So, x = (1/6)y
If y-x = 35,
y-(y/6) = 35
(6y-y)/6 = 35
5y = 35*6
Hence, y = 42
Therefore, Father's age is 42 years

3)Answer: Option(B) 15 cm
Solution:
(1/3)πr2h = πr2h
Therefore, h=3H=15 cm

4)Answer:Option(A) 21
Solution:
Let the 5 numbers be x, (x+2), (x+4), (x+6) and (x+8).
Average of the five numbers, (5x+20)/5 = 25
Therefore, x=21.

5)Answer: Option(D) 30%
Solution:
Runs scored in boundaries and sixes
= (13*4) + (3*6)
= 52 + 18 = 70 runs
Runs scored between the wickets
= 100-70 = 30 runs
Hence, 30% of the runs are scored by running between the wickets.
