VIDIYAL’22

The most awaited Muthamizh Mandram valedictory function “Vidiyal’22” took place on 31^st March in Murugappa hall. The event was graced with the presence of our beloved principal Dr. P.K. Palani and honorable chief guest Dr. Ganga Selvakumar. The cultural programs consisted of dance, drama, therukoothu, silambattam and oyilattam. Our muthamizh mandram is known for its debate. This year it was on the topic of ‘Indraiya ilainyargalin valarchiku uthavuvathu... Kudumba soozhalaa…? samooga soozhalaa…?’. The debate was judged by our guest judge Mr.Nagappan . Then prizes were distributed to the winners of various events. The entire program was a huge success with the active and eager participation of students and coordinators.

SMART INDIA HACKATHON – SIH 2022

Our college had a presentation session for the SIH 2022 earlier this week. Our honorable principal Dr.K.Palani, Vice Principal and the HOD of EEE department, Dr.K.Baskaran and Assistant Professor Dr.C.Umaranil had their magnificent presence as chief guests. A sum of 37 Teams of Students came up with several intuitive solutions for various demanding problems proposed by several organizations and national bodies. The teams were ranked after evaluation of their performance by a panel of judges including the Vice Principal and the HOD of EEE department Dr.K.Baskaran, Assistant professor Dr.S.Pauline, Civil department and Assistant professor Prof.S.Balamurugan, EEE department. The teams those attained the first 10 ranks were qualified for the next level and the teams with the next 5 ranks are yet to be subjected to further evaluation.

ROTARACT INSTALLATION PROGRAM

The 14th installation of the Rotaract club was conducted at our college on March 30^th, 2022. The event took place in Sangamam hall at 5pm. The first year students attended the event with lots of enthusiasm. The chief guests were invited to the meeting cordially. The program ended successfully with a vote of thanks.

NCC B CERTIFICATE EXAM

The NCC B certificate exam took place at the physical education college on 26^th and 27^th of March. The second-year cadets of our college successfully gave their exams. The exam consists of theory and practical. The practical exam which was conducted on 26^th March consisted of five parts which were communication, kholna-jolna, field craft, battle craft, map reading and drill. The theory exam was conducted on 27^th of march.

ONE DAY VISIT

The Civil Department of our college, organized a one day visit for the third year students on April 1,2022. The students found it interesting to witness check dams, cross regulators and other structures related to the civil department. The students were taken to places such as Paramakudi, Manamadurai and Ramnad. This visit was intriguing to the students.

“Once upon a time, a man found a butterfly that was starting to hatch from its cocoon. He sat down and watched the butterfly for hours as it struggled to force itself through a tiny hole. Then, it suddenly stopped making progress and looked like it was stuck .Therefore, the man decided to help the butterfly out. He took a pair of scissors and cut off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man thought nothing of it, and he sat there waiting for the wings to enlarge to support the butterfly. However, that never happened. The butterfly spent the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with small wings and a swollen body. Despite the man’s kind heart, he didn’t understand that the restricting cocoon and the struggle needed by the butterfly to get itself through the small hole were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings to prepare itself for flying, once it was free.”
