The second-year students from electronics and communication department of our college went for an industrial visit to Kodaikanal on 6th and 7th of May. As a part of this visit, students went to the solar observatory museum in Kodaikanal. The observatory is owned and operated by the Indian institute of Astrophysics. The amazing and clear explanation given by all the scientists helped the students get a better understanding of the space especially the Sun. The models and posters at museum intrigued everyone to know much more about the solar cycle and our solar system. The magnificent telescope was the highlight of the visit. The time spent at the observatory was not just interesting and informative but also left a lifelong impression on the students.

As he got closer, the man realized the child was throwing stranded starfishes that had washed up on the shore back into the breaking waves. Approaching the boy, the man asked what he was doing. “The starfish will die if they’re still on the shore when the sun rises,” he replied. Perplexed, the old man said, “But that’s pointless! There are countless miles of beach and thousands of starfish. It doesn’t matter how many you return to the water, you can’t make a difference. Unfazed, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and tossed it into the sea. “It matters to this one,” he said.
