INSTITUTION’S INNOVATION COUNCIL


The Institution’s Innovation Council of our college organized an event named Angel Investment and VC funding for early stage entrepreneurs. The session was handled by our alumnus, Mr. Praveen Kumar Mohan, Head of payments. The session was organized on 29th August, 2022 at Murugappa Hall. Students were explained about various business tactics an funds available for early stage entrepreneurs. Students found this session to be an intriguing and thought provoking one. After the session, we had the valedictory function of  IIC 4.0. The students from all departments attended the session and made it a  successful one.

MUTHAMIL MANDRAM – COORDINATOR SELECTION

Selection of this year's Coordinators from 3rd year for the club “Muthamil Mandram” took place on 1st and 2nd of this month. On the first day, round one selection which included analysis of students’ response to peculiar questions, oration of short poems and speeches took place. On the second day round two selection which included the debate and face to face interviews took place. Results are yet to be announced and the 2nd year coordinator selections is expected soon.   

PLACEMENT DRIVE FROM “WHITE BLUE CLOUD SERVICES”

In our college, White Blue a cloud-based company had their selection process on 30th august. Totally, there were 119 students registered for the drive. Out of that, 25 students were selected for the second round. 7 of them attended the technical interview with HR of the driven company. Only 2 were placed in the company. One is Dilip Venkat GN from EEE. Other one is Sruthi Kalyan from CSE. As the results weren't as fruitful as expected, The Training Placement Cell officers addressed all the final year circuit branches for their betterment on 3rd September. All the people in the ACGCET are hoping for upcoming drives to be affirmative. 

INCUBATION CELL AND BUILD CLUB LAUNCH EVENT

The launch event of incubation cell and build club took place on 29th of August at the virtual classroom in the mechanical engineering department. The program was presided by our beloved vice principal sir Dr. K. Baskaran. The chief guest for the event was Mr. K. Harendran sir, director of HW engineering NVIDIA graphics pvt. Ltd. , Bangalore. The welcome address was by the coordinator of incubation cell and build club Dr. S.M. Kavitha mam from civil engineering department and later she introduced the office bearers and mentors of incubation cell and build club. The mentor of build club Dr.A.Sivanantha Raja sir, professor and head of electronics and communication department and Dr. R. Prakash sir from civil engineering department felicitated the function. The event was a grand success and all the members of the club are looking forward to create many innovations and build many more projects which will benefit the society.

TECHBYTES – PRUSA 3D

The Prusa i3 series consists of open-sourcefused-deposition-modeling 3D-printers, manufactured by Czech company Prusa Research under the trademarked name Original Prusa i3. Part of the RepRap project, Prusa i3 printers were named the most used 3D printer in the world. The first Prusa i3 was designed by Josef Prusa in 2012, and was released as a commercial kit product in 2015. The latest model is available in both kit and factory assembled versions. The Prusa i3's comparable low cost and ease of construction and modification has made it popular in education and with hobbyists and professionals. Since the i3 series is open source, there have been many variants produced by companies and individuals worldwide.
