The answers to the previous weeks questions are

1.The answer is a) 20

Distance covered by B in 9 sec = ( 100/45 × 9 )m = 20 m

2.The answer is d) 4, 3, 2, 1

Volume of parallelopiped= ( 5 × 3 × 4 )  = 60 cu.cm

Volume of cube = (4)^3 = 64 cu.cm

Volume of cylinder = (22/7 × 3 ×3 ×3 ) = 84.86 cu.cm

Volume of sphere = ( 4/3 × 22/7 × 3 × 3 × 3) = 113.14 cu.cm

3. The answer is d) 50400

In the word “CORPORATION”, we treat the vowels OOAIO as one letter. Thus, we have CRPRTN( (OOAIO). This has 7 letters of which R occurs 2 times and the rest are different.Number of ways of arranging these letters = 7! / 2! = 2520Now, 5 vowels in which O occurs 3 times and the rest are different, can be arranged in 5! / 3! = 20 ways.Required number of ways = 2520 × 20 = 50400.

4. The answer is a) 5

1st term = 42nd term = (1st term × 1+ 2) = (4 × 1 + 2 ) = 63rd term = ( 2nd term × 2 + 3) = ( 6 × 2 +3 ) = 154th term = ( 3rd term × 3 + 4 ) = ( 15 × 3 + 4 ) = 49 and so on.

5. The answer is a) 18 years

Let the present age of the person be x years.Then, 3 (x – 3 ) – 3 ( x – 3 ) = x
( 3x + 9 ) – ( 3x – 9 ) = x          X = 18.
