 AARBEE STRUCTURE PLACEMENT DRIVE

Aarbee Structure is a steel design and detailing company that is developing technology for the future. On 31 St of January and 1st of February, our college hosted an Aarbee Structure placement drive for the civil department. Our college students did their absolute best to ensure good placements.

BOOK FAIR

A book fair was held in Sivagangai for 3 days from 1.2.23 to 3.2.23.  Unlike some book fair, many useful and interesting books and novels were sold. Students from our college attended the book fair. It was refreshing that the students got to explore more books other than just their syllabus. Cultural events were also held for the fair.

STUDENT FILM

In order to motivate the students, a film was shown at our college students at Murugappa Hall on 2nd February,2023. The film was of one hour duration and the students of every year took turns to watch the movie.

WOMEN EMPLOYMENT CONFERENCE

The women employment online conference in association with Microsoft corporation was held on 31.1.23 in Sangamam hall for all girl students. Knowledge regarding growing fields in technology like artificial intelligence, block chain, VR were shared during the conference. It was very interactive and useful for the students.

TAMIZHARUM THOLILNUTPAMUM

Our college has an exclusive club namely MUTHTHAMIZH MANDRAM which has a sole motto of spreading love and respect for our state language thamizh among our teachers and students. The Alumni of our college and the club coordinates conducted an event called TAMIZHARUM THOLILNUTPAMUM which included a special compilation called PANAN POZHIVU. The event was held on 31st of January 2023 in the presence of DR. GOVINDARAJAN DEIVANAYAGAM (Rtd professor, University of Tamizh Tanjore) as a chief guest of the function. The chief guest gave a marvelous speech for the students about various topics at MURUGAPPA HALL in our college followed by the speech given by the alumni of the college. The event had bore fruits for the efforts of our college alumni and club coordinates. Yet another event made a huge impact among the students organized by our beloved great seniors.

GLIMPSE OF IT

Training and Placement Department of our college had arranged a programme in which Mr. Madasamy, Senior Network Engineer (IT US), GEODIS India Pvt Ltd. gave an awareness talk “Glimpse on Information Technology (IT)” on 02.02.2023 (Thursday) at 11.00AM. This was for students of all years except first year students. His brief talk gave a deep understanding on various IT domains, software developing tools and recruiting models. This will enable the students to get a clear sight on IT industry.

369- FUN EVENT

ROTARACT CLUB of our college had planned to conduct an outdoor event named ‘BLACK SHEEP’ on Thursday this week. But unfortunately, due to rain, the outdoor event was cancelled but they didn't disappoint our juniors, Rotaract coordinators conducted an indoor fun event which was named as ‘369’. The club members actively coordinated the event and made the first-year students to be engaged in the event.

MEDICAL CAMP

THE GREATEST WEALTH IS HEALTH

To ensure the health and fitness of the students our college has conducted a medical camp in our college campus. Our college has also decided to ensure reachability of medical care for each and every student in the college so for the convenience of the students they had decided to conduct it in our SANGAMAM HALL on 30TH of January 2023.The medical camp consisted of a professional doctor with required medical facilities to examine the students. The students were also given priority to get advice from professionals for their medical related doubts. As far as this week students from the respective departments of civil and mechanical have done their medical camp as per allotted slots.

QUANTUM COMPUTING

This is used across industries for a variety of innovations and calculations that were not possible with earlier computers. It also has the potential to benefit society in a number of ways, including making smarter investment decisions, accelerating drug and vaccine development, and revolutionizing transportation.

Today’s supercomputers encode information in bits (0 and 1), while quantum computers are made up of quantum bits (qubits). Therefore, quantum computing can exist as 1s and 0s at the same time. This means that quantum computers are able to multi-task, allowing for significantly faster results, especially in research and development.
