Acistech

ISTE club organized symposium ACISTECH finds its way coming Friday with a different set of events. Online aptitude event was conducted by the club in favour of Accetians.Large number of Accetians participated in the event.

National conference

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering organised a National Level conference on '' Power Electronics & Drives'' on 11.03.2015

This conference was sponsored under TEQIP II . Dr.G.Giridhar, Director of Solar Radiation Resource Assesment Cell in National Institute of Wind Energy precided as Chief Guest .

In Sanskrit its athithi, in Hindi its Mehmaan, in Tamil its sonthakararkal, in Bengali ottiti, in assamese its olloie,in Manipuri meetop, different language different words but all have same meaning 'GUEST'. There is one proverb in Sanskrit " ATHITHI DEV O BHAVA" which means respect the guest as god.  Guests usually come for short time . With them comes lots of hapiness. One proverb in hindi "Mehmaan Bhagwaan ke roop hote hai" which means sometimes guest seems as God. Guest itself is a word which will make you happy, so respect the guest, serve the guest and make that moment colourful and make it small memorable moment for forever.

NEUTRINO

                      Neutrino is nothing but a subatomic particle like photons and electrons. They are the most abundant particles in the universe next to photons. Like photons they do not have any charge but they have a tiny mass.They exists in three forms electron, muon, tau. Unlike other fundamental particles they react feebly with matter which makes its detection quiet difficult. So neutrino detectors are usually placed below the earth.

               India based Neutrino Observatory is under construction in Theni district. Its main aim is to study the properties of neutrinos which will reveal the secret about the evolution of universe and reason for the energy production in stars. These neutrinos can morph from one form to other when they pass through space, earth.....which is known as “neutrino oscillation”. In this electron-muon type,  and muon-tau type conversion are well known and tau-electron type has not been studied yet which forms one of the objectives of the neutrino observatory.
