The fly ash brick making machinery at ACCET In a first,under the Entrepreneur development cell of ACCET, a brick making machinery has been installed in the free land which was cleared for the purpose behind the smithy and welding lab. Two passed out mechanical students(2016 ) are currently involved in this particular project.Initially lime,fly ash and gypsum(one load each) has been purchased for making out trial bricks and to find the best mixture ratio.  Since the location of the site is behind the college premises ,it is easier for curing and drying process of the bricks made without disturbing the usual college proceedings. PLACEMENT DRIVE  The Most awaited and the most challenging dream for the members with the goal of placements has come to life. Yes! It is the "ZOHO corp." who came for their placement drive  last week. Around 300 students made their attempt to the target. Totally five rounds were conducted. The first round was c aptitude and general aptitude. 46 students kicked off this round. The Second round was programing, in which nine passed on to the next round, which was Advanced programing. Following them came technical HR and the general HR. Breaking the ice finally, 6 students got placed in zoho with a package of 6.4 lakh per annum. Following ZOHO, came "GO FRUGAL", which also made its impact of placement drive here yesterday(17/08/2016). Two rounds were over until yesterday and the final result is expected to be announced by evening. CAMPUS DRIVE Two software companies Infofaces and NY systems, visited our college last week. NY systems, a web hosting company, is exclusively meant for women and is located in Kerala. A total of 25 students got selected, 9 from EEE, 9 from ECE and 7 from CSE department. Infofaces is located in Chennai with its headquaters in the U.S. Here 8 students, 2 from MECH, 1 from EEE,1 from ECE and 4 from CSE department got selected and 2 got internship. As a fruit of their hardwork, totally 33 were placed in the placement drive last week. THE RESULT AT LAST!!! After much dissapointments at each message received for so many days,  the results atlast came like a thief upon the poor sleeping souls yesterday at 5 am. Never in the history of ACCET hostels was such a day whence all the students were super active before 6 in the morning.  Amid such a commotion our ACCET Online team came up with a cgpa calculator where you can get your GPAs calculated when you give the grades and their credits. The new move by the team is worth commending. ROCA EVENT -  Yup! A very interesting event was conducted by the Rotract club on monday. It was named "POW OWW". The name is as interesting as the event. They had a group discussion on the view of the engineers about the chennai flood. And also most interesting discussions on whether it is sufficient for ACCET to be in the 47th place in India or if it is more than enough.
