‘Hard Work Never Fails; Smart Work Ever Gains!’
-With this Idea came up Ms.Dhivya D/O Mrs.Muthu Vishwanathan, an Alumnus. It was an Interesting session held on 14th of this month at Murugappa hall for 3rd and 4th year students.
‘Social Media Development’ was the concept behind the very young entrepreneur come business woman’s success. She is presently working for UPTOWN IDEAS, a social media startup based on Chennai with a creative team of individuals, specializing in social media management, media relations, video production/services, branding and concept design. She shared her experiences with that firm including their recent success in OKK and Kanchana-2 film promotions!
It was an eye-opening session for many and she encouraged our students with her tagline of success “Do what you Love”.

The next session was took over by her mother Mrs. Muthu Vishwanathan (exclusive for Girls) on ‘how to balance career without compromising their family life’ with her jovial interactive speech. It would be immensely useful for many future CEO’s, founders, Project heads and Housewives she said!
Cloud computing:
Internet which we all know as (International Networks) has a global reach in connecting people. Not only for official purpose , it has become a part and parcel of our life knowingly or unknowingly..If we go 60 years back we would find that we were governed by a king our culture and tradition will speak more about that..But when coming to this generation we all are governed by a magical power i.e Internet…The innovative change that it has provided was The Social web and mobile technology.
These two changes have changed people a lot they found a new way to communicate with each other. Social web is enhancing itself each day . The name that it reaches to the people has got its own specialty like Facebook,Twitter,Orkut,WhatsApp,Hike,Instagram,Messenger,DropBox etc… this is not the end as each alphabet in English has got its own extension .It’s just resembling the words of our Bill Gates-“The Internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow. But if too much of time spent in social web then it’s just similar to the concept of Bermuda triangle."
Now let us see about the recent updates in internet i.e the well known cloud computing. The name cloud was inspired by the symbol that’s often used to represent the internet in flowcharts and diagrams. It enables the companies to consume computer resource as a utility (just like electricity) rather than have to build and maintain computing infrastructures in-house.It can be private, public or hybrid
These services are broadly classified into three categories:
Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
Platform-as-a-Service(PaaS)
Software-as-a-Service(SaaS)
Benefits of cloud computing are self-servicing provisioning, Elasticity and pay per use..
Leading public cloud providers include Amazon Web Services (AWS),Microsoft Azure, IBM/SoftLayer and Google Computer Engine.

The one word which terrified hostels was' OUIJA' last week. what is this thing called Ouija ? Does it really work? How it originated?
Ouija:
Ouija is a flat wooden board containing alphabets, the numbers 0-9, the words like “hello”, ”yes”, “no”, ”goodbye” and a sun picture & a moon picture.There is an ancient way of communicating spirits in China, ‘automatic writing’ which is similar to Ouija except the board.
How to play Ouija?
Better not to play alone. Sit in a calm place and dim the lights and use a single candle and also burn incense. Everyone should touch a wooden pointer known as ”planchette” which moves as per the questions you ask.
Ask questions politely and don’t do any ridiculous things. It answers yes or no for direct questions and spells out letter by letter for detailed questions. If the planchette moves from Z-A or from 9-0 or if it repeatedly points 8 you should leave the game immediately. Always say good bye before winding up.
The spirit is a good one if it is from sun or a bad one if it is from moon.
Scientific view:
According to researchers a phenomenon known as “ideomotor effect” is the reason behind this i.e) the movement of the planchette is due to the involuntary movement of the players which even they don’t realize. Its only because of their belief that it moves, they themselves move it without realizing they are moving it.
Lets do one thing to understand it. Tie one end of a thread to a small weight and hold the other end in your hand. Keep your hand still it automatically moves clockwise and anti-clockwise. Don’t initiate the movement and think if the answer is yes it moves clockwise and anti-clockwise if it is a no. It definitely happens so because of people’s thoughts. This effect is known as ‘chevreul’s pendulum’.
So there are no supernatural forces behind this. This is their conclusion.
This discussion that whether it is real or fake will continue until mystery about the existence of ghosts continues.Whatever if we can communicate with ghosts then why didn’t anyone try to communicate with Einstein or Edison or why can’t it be used to find the reason behind several mysterious murders. Mysteries win till fears prevail.
