The Champions of 90's came back to their battle ground after 25 years. The energy and enthusiasm which they showed was unbelievable. During the match they proved that age is not a barrier and gave a tough competition to present ACCET cricket team.

Changes around the college:
Sign boards regarding Discipline, Punctuality, Conservation of Nature and many more had been implanted around the college at various places by the NSS in association with our college alumni. Dr.Alagappa Chettiar used to admire Dr.Jawaharlal Nehru’s words, a close friend of him and made display of his quotes at every possible place in the college which stands even today.Quotes of various great people has also been displayed at corridors, outside classrooms, laboratories etc.

Sangama of sangamam:
It was really a wonderful experience to see the old students of ACCET with their families which can’t be explained in words. They had arranged for a motivational lecture by Dr.Jayanthashri Balakrishnan, PSG college of Arts and Science is a Ph.D holder in both Tamil and English. She holded her talk for more than an hour continuously . She started with the lines ‘the necessity and importance of a thing is known only when it is lost’, . She asked us to be ‘Engineers and not just Engineering Graduates’ . She mentioned ‘controlled fear is courage’ which implies that a controlled fear is essential to make things perfectly. She told that ‘the you in you is not an accident’. So everyone in this world is for a purpose. She also worried about the absence of Tamilians in research fields due to the lack of awareness about GATE. She stunned everyone by her presence of mind during the queries session. The show was hosted by RJ Karthik(Peppers channel). The most awaited grand dinner was served following her talks. The next day our college music band performed a show for alumni which was spellbounding. As the tagline indicates it served food for thought and palate.

IAS Study Circle which had been started for the benefit of students those who appear for Civil Service Examinations. The study circle emerged with the inaugural function on august 1 with Mr.Balamurugan , IRS, Bangalore as the chief guest .Mr.Suresh Kumar addressed the gathering with his motivational speech . An interested group of officers had started tutorials via telegram(social networking site). In addition to that a public library,available in L.C.PT hall was made known to students who can make use of the facility.
