Ryla fever :
The Rotract club of Sivakasi successfully conducted Selva ryla(National level) at Kodaikanal from sep 17 to 20. Students from Delhi,Assam,Bangalore and Tamilnadu made their active participation in this ryla. 10 students from our college represented our state. They had sessions like Life lesson,Brain o brain and social awareness . In addition to that they had camp fire , trekking and fire walk. Based on the student's active performance “ Darling award ” was awarded at the dawn of each day.

Cesar 2k15:
Cesar 2k15 was a big hit this time .Apart from the usual events , a large number of fun and learning based events was conducted this time.Decorations outside Murugappa hall astonished everyone who had a look at it .
Alconesy 2k15:
ALCONESY had its grandeur ceremony on sep 22nd with its rocking events. The national level symposium was presided over by the chief guestMr.Thirungnana sambantham Gurnathan , presently working at IscottBerg Solutions, Singapore. An alumnus of Our Alma matter! He gave his exemplary speech motivating the students towards conservation of Energy and Hybrid Energy, future scopes of renewable energy sources.

“Map is not equivalent to Territory; Think Strategically to see beyond maps and conquer Territories”
The ‘Panchsheel -events’, Sooraj-safari(solar car race),Unravel (Paper presentation), Circuitrix, project presentation and Cyborg combat (Robo-War) added spice to the events.
Online events were of great success and kudos to those who actively participated and won exciting prizes!

It’s neither a berry fruit nor the 16th letter of Greek alphabet pi!
The Raspberry Pi is a series of credit card–sized single board Computers developed in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation with the intention of promoting the teaching of basic computer science in schools. The Foundation trustee Eben Upton assembled a group of teachers, academicians and computer enthusiasts to devise a computer to inspire children.It enables people of all ages to program in languages like scratch, python.
Specifications:
The Raspberry Pi hardware has evolved through several versions that feature variations in hardware Performance, memory capacity, and peripheral device support. Early concepts of the Raspberry Pi were based on the Atmel
ATmega644 microcontroller. Its schematics and PCB layout are publicly available.
Operating systems:
The Raspberry Pi primarily uses Linux-kernel based operating systems.

An overnight celebrity:
Ahmed, a brilliant, research minded, 14 year old boy was studying in MacArthur High School, Irving, Texas. On September 15, he went to school with his new invention to show it to his teacher. But his English teacher misunderstood it as a ‘hoax bomb’ and Ahmed was handcuffed and taken to a Juvenile detention centre. After several examinations it was identified as a clock and he was released. This made him and his parents very upset. But he is receiving offers from various institutions for higher studies now .
Barack Obama invited him to White House with his clock. Mark Zuckerberg told that ‘the future belongs to people like Ahmed’. He is also offered to have a talk with scientists in NASA at next month’s Astronomy Night.

The ECSTA was inaugurated on 23-9-15 and a workshop on 'advanced embedded controllers' was conducted for the benefit of students.
Hockey zonals :
ACCET's hockey team have secured 3rd place in zonals.
Second year player "Manoj" was the star player scoring maximum no. Of goals from our side!!
Accet 87 connect :
A demonstrtaion for the need for soft skill development was given to the third years at Murugappa hall yesterday .Four final year students shared their experiences from the previous year "Softskill training ".Four of our alumni from 87' batch visited the campus and kick started the soft skill training sessions .
