CAMPUS DRIVE
Two software companies Infofaces and NY systems, visited our college last week. NY systems, a web hosting company, is exclusively meant for women and is located in Kerala. A total of 25 students got selected, 9 from EEE, 9 from ECE and 7 from CSE department. Infofaces is located in Chennai with its headquaters in the U.S. Here 8 students, 2 from MECH, 1 from EEE,1 from ECE and 4 from CSE department got selected and 2 got internship. As a fruit of their hardwork, totally 33 were placed in the placement drive last week.
FIRST YEAR RESULT
Just after the three days of their semester exams, the results were released online @ www.accet.co.in . For the first time in years , a new grade system was introduced as a part of the new choice based credit system . This Christmas holidays are really special for the budding first years.
WORKSHOP
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organised a Technical Workshop on LaTeX - A with the tagline "Tool for the preparation of Research Articles", sponsored by TEQIP II (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) for the Research scholars and PG students. LaTeX ( Lamport TeX) is a word processor and a document markup language. Dr.S.Nageshwari Asst.Prof/EEE Program coordinator made this three day workshop a grand success.
ALUMNI VISIT
The 1975 batch of our college had their 40th year anniversary celebration here on 18th of December. They interacted with the students and shared their priceless experiences. The event was made more special by the launching of the book, "MY EXPERIMENTS WITH PROJECT AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT", written by Mr. Sekar Kumbeswara, our alumnus. He also presented the first copy of his book to our Principal Prof. A. Mala. Dr. M. Jayachandran, Deputy Director of Central Electrochemical and Research Institute, who was the Chief Guest, also addressed the gathering.
ROCA EVENT -"If U where ? "
With the aim to make a professional futur,every participant was asked to pick an inspiring personality and answer the questions posted to them by the other participants. The rotaract team succeded in teaching them how to make a proper public speaking as a leader would do.
Radio note : Accet radio's second show is ready for broadcast coming Saturday.It will be available in the website on 26-12-15.

REVALUATION
The Nov/Dec 2015 exam results were released by the Controller of Examinations on 16 December.
LAST DATE TO APPLY IS ON 28.12.2015(MONDAY). The results will be announced later.
The cost are as follows:
Retotalling: Rs 250
Photocopy: Rs 200
Revaluation for failed subject: Rs 500
Revaluation for passed subject: Rs 1000
SPORTS:
Even semester is always loaded with fun and excitement as we have our sports day, culturals and much more .As a starter, the inter year matches are nearing in. Students have been practising their games both in the mornings and evenings.Probably,the inter year matches would be starting after Pongal holidays .

ITS CHRISTMAS!!!
"JINGLE BELLS JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE ALL THE WAY"- its a song which never fails to make one feel excited and happy. Yup, Christmas is here along with our beloved Santa and his gifts. Its a special occasion to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, bringing with it peace, joy and happiness untold. Bible has it that the news about the birth of Lord Jesus was first made known by the angels to shepherds who then followed a star to the manger where Mary had given birth to the child. The three wise kings who came to worship the child, brought frankincense, myrrh and gold to the child and also introduced the practise of giving gifts.
May your hearts abound with joy and peace this Christmas.
