  OPENING OF GIRL’S MESS “Laughter is brightest in the place where food is good” In light of this, our esteemed Alumni of the 1994 – 98 batch have contributed a lot for their Silver Jubilee. Amongst these contributions is the opening of the mess for the girls’ hostel on 16th of July, 2023. It was a joyous occasion and has helped the students to have a place for enjoying food we love. Acknowledging their efforts in creating a better environment for the students, we the students express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the batch of 1994 – 98. CLOUD HUB MEETING The 1998 alumni batch of our college have proposed to train and support placements to the final year students in cloud domain. The AWS certification charges of around ₹8000/- was also sponsored by the same batch.   NAAN MUTHALVAN- CAREER GUIDANCE Naan Mudhalvan career guidance program was organized by our college National Service Scheme was held at SS matric school in Singampunari on 27/4/2023. 13 NSS Volunteers attended the program. The first half of the Naan Mudhalvan program was Career guidance training to school staffs and school student NSS Volunteer. Coordinators of the program explained about the available courses that a student can choose after their higher secondary studies. The second half is fully based on how to make dropped out students return to the school and make them write exams. LEO FEST AND VALEDICTION The LEO club of our college conducted the most awaited ART and PROJECT EXPO on May 4 th 2023 which was followed by the valedictory function of the year 2022-2023.   SEMESTER EXAMS Our college’s Murugappa Hall and drawing hall hosted the first semester for first-year students from 10/4/23 to 21/4/23. It was their first time writing a semester examination. The students demonstrated their dedication and commitment to their first semester exams. SHACKLES 2K23 The most awaited mechanical national level inter-college technical symposium Shackles’2k23 was held by our college’s mechanical association on April 17 and 18. On the first day of shackles, workshops about additive manufacturing, 3d printing, and computational fluid dynamics were held. On the next day, both technical events like robowar, pro cadet etc. and non-technical events like Kollywood quiz, IPL auction etc. were held. VIDIYAL'23 On 5 th April, Muthamizh Mandram of our college conducted “Vidiyal'23”. The main aim of this function is the release of magazine named “Sangamam”. Our Principal Dr. P. K. Palani Sir presided over the function. The famous speaker, Dr. R. Ramanadhan Sir was invited as the Chief Guest. He also judged the debate and shared his valuable thoughts with us. During cultural events, second- and third-year students showcased the brilliance of Tamil culture through various performances like Bharathanattiyam, Paraiaattam, oyilaattam, karagaattam. FOOTBALL MEN’S MATCH Inter-year boys football matches were held on March 7 th for all four years. By defending third and second year, respectively, the final year and first year advanced to the finals. Final years won the match by a comeback of 0-2 to 3-2 in full time and took over the winner’s title, while first years finished runner-up. Congratulations to everyone who took part. CRICKET MEN’S MATCH On March 11, Saturday, a cricket match was held in the college main ground to commemorate our college Sports Day. The final match was between the final year and the third year, who had advanced by defeating the first and second years, respectively. Final years won the semi-finals by 112 runs and the championship by 8 wickets. Today’s top performers were Dhaya (64* runs and 4 wickets) and Thajesh (57* runs and 7 wickets).
