Moving further into Baja , our team ASTHRA has cleared virtual round and they are on schedule to attend their on-road competition at Pithambur , Indore. First there will be a technical inspection where every technical aspects of the vehicle would be inspected. After this the main challenge begins!! Now the vehicle is accompanied with driver where not just the car's engineering is tested but driver's skills too!! And what's special is that our college has a student driver where as other colleges are using professional drivers. Further there will be a no. 8 test , brake test , hill climbing test,maneuverability test , acceleration test and finally , a four hour endurance race where both cars and drivers endurance are tested. After all the above challenges are met successfully we get the winner. This year the winning team will be getting a opportunity to participate globally.Hope our Asthra team gets that chance!!

An interview based event was held by our ROTARACT CLUB OF ACCET this week. It gave a real interview apperance to our students who made use of it as a rehearsal.
And LEO club of our college has announced its good governance day as a part of their club activities.
Specially, ISTE club of our college conducted an on- spot paper presentation event which was a new concept as it was held onspot and a few second years benefited from it.
THE TALK
All our final year
students are in a hurry-placement, project submission………..At this juncture here are some views of our alumni about
placement in our college, they have expressed in Thiran prize distribution.
Mr.Kumar Vembu(CEO of Gofrugal) said that WIPRO came to our
college with an expectation of recruiting nearly 100 people. But only 46
members have been recruited.If we can’t compete with these 500 people then how
can we compete with lakhs and lakhs of people??? He added that to overcome this
first everyone have to set a goal. It may be a long term or a short term goal.
But there should be a goal and we should put all our efforts to achieve that.
Mr.Kumar Vembu also
talked about the Einstein’s view about
education and asked everyone to do so.He just told everyone to ask
themselves that “What do I know?” after
they became graduates. All alumni expect that in next thiran meeting.

other than our college HOCKEY-team(men) secured second place in the zonals which held in Thiagaraja college of Engg&Tech,two days back.

On the way to entrance of MURUGAPPA HALL is the SILVER JUBILEE MEMORIAL of batch '86.Our campus has its own Alagappa computer center in the silver jubliee memorial.It made its presence in our campus on 30th jan'11 which was opened by DR.P.MANNAR JAWAHAR who was the vice chancellor of Anna university,chennai.
It has core-2 Duo computer-30 nos and 5 KVA-UPS with 30 mins backup-2 nos have been procured from MPLAD fund 2011-2012 of DR E.M.SUNDARSANA NATCHIAPPAN member of Parliament Rajaya sabha,Sivaganga .The present scenario is that the center is assisted with staffs and students can access the net facility available in the centre for useful purpose.
