ICEEC
TEQIP-II sponsored International Conference on Electrical,Electronics & Communications ( ICEEC - 2016) is being jointly organized by the departments, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and development activities in Communication and Power electronics and drive.
This two day conference (31.03.2016 - 01.04.2016) will provide a forum for researchers and engineers from both industry and academia to exchange the latest innovations and advancements in Electrical, Electronics and Communication. The conference proceeds with lunch and refreshments for all the participants from Industries, Faculty members, Research and PG scholars.
YUGAM 2k16
28 th and 29 th of March !! ACCET's walls stared at the colorful crowd which decorated the cultural ground and fell down heartily in front of the marvellous talents which enlightened the Dias of rocking YUGAM 2k16 .Mr. Aru. Nagappan presided over the fest and with the great support of our beloved Principal, Prof.A.Mala and staff in charge, Mr. Sivanesan, cultural function inaugurated traditionally by 5 pm on 28 th of March . The fest continued the next day evening too with active participation of UG and PG students and Faculty members . Student organizer Mr. Surendar from the final year gave the farewell speech on behalf of Stalwatz. With all these enjoyments, by 9 pm the fest ended and took all of us back to the same academic routine.
CSE CONFERENCE
The Third year students of the department of Computer Science and Engineering attended a National conference held at the Alagappa University here on 24th of this month from 10am to 6pm. There were two sessions, Modural approach Linux kernel context and Agile scrum technology discussed by A. Sevuga Pandian from Bangalore. The students went along with their staff, Mr. Rasikannan.
VIDIYAL'16
The most awaited Muthamizh Mandram valedictory function "VIDIYAL'16" was taken into dias on 23rd of this month. The VIDIYAL started with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest, Mr. M. Rajamohan.The Muthamizh Mandram is always well known for its debate. With the same josh, this year also saw a debate which rocked under the topic "Indraya samuthayathil athigamaga kanapaduvathu suyanalama?pothunalama??". The speakers set the stage on fire by their views and finally the function was signed off with refreshments.
EEE VALEDICTION:
'World gets power from electricity. The base of electricity is EEE.'
Our college EEE dept conducted a valediction function on 22.3.2016(tuesday) at 4pm at Murugapa hall. Function started with a welcome speech by Dr. Jebasalma, Head of EEE department. She gave a brief view on how our students are striving to improve our college in numerous ways like repairing our clock, making irrigation system for watering plants, etc., Prof.A. Mala, our our Principal, inspired the students with her talk. Mr.Narayanan, Secretery of Alconesy, read the annual report for this year. Prizes were awarded to the winners by Prof.A.Mala and Dr.Jebasalma. Refreshments were also provided. Function ended with a vote of thanks given by the Joint Secretery, Prakash of third year. They were proud at the fact that this is the only department to conduct valediction function. Function ended with glory at 5pm.
BLITERZ'16
Our college saw the annual sports meet BLITERZ'16 on 21st of this month. And finally, the sports war came to an end. The result is as follows:
Games shield men: 3rd years (Vion - mirackerz)
Games shield women: 4th year(Stalwartz)
Athletic shield men: 3rd years(Vion mirackerz)
Athletic shield women: 2nd year(Afrostarz)
Overall games, athletic shield: 3rd years (Vion mirackerz)
S. Dinesh from second year CSE department secured first place in both long jump and triple jump this year too.
Mr.Arun of Third year mechanical department broke the previous ACCET record in sprint event .(100 m in 11.3 sec is the new ACCET record )
OPPORTUNITY AT MY FOR STEP
Its nice opportunity for the final year students to win the prize. Aachi institute of management and entrepreneurial development (AMIED) will conduct the writing competition under thevname CAREER PLANNING. The topic is MY CAREER PLAN: WHAT I WANT TO BECrOME AND HOW IN THE NEXT FIVE YEAR. Words should not exceed more than 250 words. For further details log on to www.aimed.in
