Doorstep to the Technical meet opens up with a warm welcome to all Accetians . Release notes of THIRAN 2016 are :

1. FOR ALUMNI AND STUDENTS WHO REGISTERED LAST YEAR, YOU CAN USE THE SAME LOGIN AND CONTINUE USING IT.

2. Resume review portal - Students can load resume and Alumni can comment.

3. Jobs/interns can be posted via Thiran website (this could be internal/ or for company job posting/personal referral etc.).

4. Past projects can be viewed based on years.

5. There is an option to continue your project from previous year, Projects are not restricted to 1 year anymore. Go deep and detailed. This option is subject to approval by Thiran committee - we don’t encourage re-doing/copy pasting same project.

6. There were to-do lists and project timeline which were hardly used. Please make sure the students make full use of the infrastructure.

Do visit the website, www.thiran.in, and register the innovative ideas of your team within July 30 , 2016 and work on for the project. Let's break the ice of knowledge to shatter....

WORKSHOPS AND FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM



The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a workshop on the topic “COMPUTER NETWORKS” from 20th to 22nd of July, 2016, for the third year students. The students find it very useful as they are having this paper for the current semester.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a Faculty development program on “POWER TRENDS IN GREEN ENERGY”, today (21^st of July).

ESTABLISHMENT DAY

Today (21stof July) is our college'sestablishment day. We thank all the Alumni and Faculty members who have been shaping our college into what it is today.

APTITUDE DEMO CLASS

 An initiation for stimulating the neurons of super seniors and post graduates was given by Mr. M. Santhosh, a trainee of FACE (Focus Academy for Carrier enhancing). The moto of this program was to give a demo on upcoming four day classes on aptitude. This session kicked off at 10:30 am on Wednesday(20/07/2016) at civil department's virtual class room and ended with a pure power of knowledge at 12:30 pm.

CLUBS

With a new spirit and enthusiasm, all the clubs of our college started their members' enrollment. VIBGYOR, a multitasking event of the LEO club was held on wednesday ( 20th of July ) at the gallery hall at 4:45pm. In addition to the enrollments, the organizing team of all the clubs were also engaged in selecting their coordinators. As a part of it, the FRESHERS' ASSOCIATION conducted selection for the present second years and the list is yet to be announced. Team Accet news wishes all the participants.

INTERN TURNED EMPLOYEE

Internship gives us a chance to get into the work place and have a look about the industry. Does it fetch a job? Really interesting! A job seeker finds opportunity in his every chance. Here are the final year students Deepalakshmi and Muthurajalingam from the discipline of Electrical and Electronics Engineering who had got their internships at the SAINT-GOBAIN corporation during the company's campus drive to our college last year. They enjoyed their internship from June 1 to July 19. Based on their project performance they have been placed at SAINT-GOBAIN now.
