As the name insists, the day will come to us in no time. Have a look at that marvelous poster (or should I say DC poster?) designed by our Students Welfare Association. What is FLASH? – “FestivaL of ACCET Students Harmony, the one and only festival in our college life. FLASH hits the ground on 4th and 5th April'17, by sunset and of course, on our handball ground. Our coordinators are measuring the ground for stage and in the meantime, let’s have quite a look on the contests and preparations for the event.

MEME Contest:

      The MEME Contest was a major hit and the special fact about that was, it was held on MEME CREATOR’S DAY (26/03/17). 20 people will be selected by the counts of likes and among them, one will be prized based on the ACCET MEMES 2.0 admin’s judgment.

Selfie and Photography Contest:

     The Selfie and Photography Contest conducted by the XPREZ team was officially announced on 29/03/17. Selfies and Pics will be judged by uniqueness and innovative photographic techniques.* this contest is not based on likes. Message your pics to the XPREZ ACCET official page with your info before April 2nd, 5 pm.
    Talking about contests, the Facebook plays a major role in our culturals, so let’s thank Mark Zuckerberg.

VIDIYAL 2k17

Today(30/03/2017), Vidiyal started successfully with the tamil thaai vazthu. The welcome address was given by the secretary of Muthamil mandram, Mr. M. Vinayaga Moorthy. The Innaugural ceremony was presided over by Associate Prof. Mrs.Vennila. The presidential address was given by our beloved Principal, Dr.Elango. Then, the falicitation was taken over by Mr.Angamuthu(Devidhasan). Our honourable Chief guest, Mr. Gnanasekaran who is also called Homeo doctor, had a music team in the name of Isai swarangal. Then came our students with various eye satisfying performances of dance, song, poetry, mime, drama and much more. At the end came Pattimandram with Paagai Kannadhasan as the judge. The topic was Inraya thirai ulagam samugathai seerpaduthukiratha? seeralikiratha?. TAs a result of the eloquent speeches by our students the judge concluded that, "Inraya Thirai ulagam samugathai seeralikirathu". Then the certificates were distributed for prize winners in weekly events. Last but not least, the Vote of thanks was given by our Secretary, Ms. Divya.

FRESHERS VALEDICTION

The sight of the ultimate day had come into every fresher’s and associates perception as they all witnessed the valediction. Despite the hectic schedule of the cultural preparations and holiday packing, the associates and fellow buds of our college made the day bloom for the final year coordinators of Freshers Association.
The function formally started at 4:45 in the presence of the Chief guest Prof. Paneer Selvam and Dr. Bhuvaneshwari and all the fellow buds. Ceremonial speeches and quotes of statements by the dignitaries of this function, followed by the orations by the beloved Final year coordinators came into the vision of the cameras and eyesight. Then came the perky prizes and surprise goodies for the best fresher-male-Mariappan (CSE), female-Haritha (EEE); active performer-Harish Karthik (CSE) and the lucky fresher of the evening and a sapling for the Chief guest. Beam of memories and videos came through the projector as everyone glared at the screen. The new officer bearers and the new coordinators were revealed and spotlighted. Then came the Vote of Thanks by the President- Pradeep Kanna, who cited some cherishing words which stretched a smile in every gloomy faces , as they couldn’t bid them adieu with their heavy hearts.

EEEA 5MW SOLAR VISIT

The day of gaining wisdom as our techies went for a one day inplant training organised by EEEA on 25/03/2017 comprising 44 third year students guided by Asst Prof. C. Vennila of the EEE department. The plant, established on December 20, 2010, occupied an area of 65 acres, to absorb solar radiation.It consist of five control rooms, established at a cost of Rs 100 crores.
The International Finance corporation and the IDBI financed the project. The panels installed at the Sivaganga project were produced from Moser Barr Solar Limited and was commissioned using amorphous silicon thin film technology, which is the best technology suited for Indian climatic conditions. It could supply 75 lakh unit per annum to the grid. The active interaction of the students with power plant officers have elaborated their knowledge on relays, circuit breakers, inverters and some measuring instruments.
Our students effectively used the opportunity provided to them and returned to the campus with satisfactory information on solar power plant.

CHRIST OF THE ABYSS

The 2.5 metres tall statue depicts Christ offering benediction of peace ,with his head and hands raised skyward .The original bronze statue was placed in the Mediterranean sea on 22 august 1954 at approximately 17 metres depth. It was sculpted by Guido Galletti ,based on the idea of Italian diver duilio marcante .

The statue was placed near the spot where Dario gonzatti , the first Italian to use SCUBA gear died in 1947.(SCUBA is an anacronym for self –contained underwater breathing apparatus ). It is entirely carried by an underwater diver with breathing gas at the ambient pressure.

Owing to negative geotropism,bananas are always bent.once developed instead of growing towards the ground, it turn towards the burning star(sun).The fruit which continuously growing  

against gravity roses into a curved shape texture and the most admirable one is which is 5times 

older than Colosseum or the Parthenon. How old are u!!!!
