FOUNDER'S DAY

The Founders day is the day to remind ourselves of the memorable moments of a particular person, our beloved Dr. Alagappa Chettiar. This day was celebrated with ferror, zest and enthusiasm. The Padmabushan awardee, Dr. Alagappa Chettiar, a great philanthropist, eminent educationist and a multifaced versatile personality, was the founder of the Alagappa institutions.

The day was celebrated with full passion. The students from Alagappa institutions reached Alagappar's cremetorium with full dedication and a prayer was held based on the songs of three religions.

Alagappa educational institutions are providing a continuum in education for children to start from their studies from kindergarten and pursue studies right up to post doctoral studies in a wide array of subjects. The day was celebrated by offering candies and with whole hearted passion.

FESTIVAL OF ACCET - FLASH 2K17

"FestivaL of Accetians Students Harmony"

DAY 1

"Cultural is the art elevated to a set of beliefs". The function started with the lighting of the holy lamp by our beloved dignitaries which relates the tag line ,"Step into the light". Dr. Sivanesan, Asst. Prof of Civil department welcomed the gathering. Our beloved principal, Dr. A. Elango gave the presidential address. Chief guest of the show, Dr. Subramani, Head of Mech Engg(Govt Arts clgg- Srirangam), was introduced by Prof. G. Pannerselvam, Head of civil dept, who felicitated the program. He is not only an Alumni of our college but also worked as a Professor here. Culturals Secretary, Mr. K. Anandha Krishnan, gave a brief explanation about Flash 2k17. The cultural programs began with our traditional dance , Bharatham(" Hidden language of our soul"). Then various programs which includes folk,fl fusion, drama, mime, one man show and copy cat.

DAY 2

Day 2 started with the speech by the S. P, Mr. . and then, to avoid  the lapse of time, the event started in no time. Day 2 didn’t play along the schedule, as there were some remarkably electrifying stuffs that popped up a;l of a sudden, which left the crowd scrutinising. Most of the mighty dance performances and enactments were acted upon by the Final year, MCA and ME folks. On one side, many enactments were based on the apparent catastrophe faced by the farmers and other social issues. On the other side, the songs and the heart throbbing performances left the crowd swagging to the beat and the bass.

HERO OF THE FESTIVAL

The most exciting part of the Culturals was the Quad copter. The quad copter workshop conducted by the mechanical dept was the pioneer of the idea of using a drone for filming our extravaganza FLASH. Like an iron man suit gliding among us, the idea of using this drone was something that was never tried before in ACCET.

The estimated price for hiring the drone that perfect is approx Rs.30,000 for just two days. That's surely one heck of a price to film FLASH from the sky. Watching the crowd flocking at a point to get hold of the quad copter was a great fun for our folks, but at the same time, it was a 50K worth peeving act to the coordinators.

FOOLS DAY

Watch out!!! There is a snake hissing by ur leg, yes that's right, nothing but the traditional fools day. The only day, in which people smile on being fooled. On every April 1, every person from kids to senior citizens play pranks and hoaxes on people and make fun.

This is the day, in which each and every person behaves conscious in their each and every activities, although some get pranked by some skilled prankers who expose their prank by shouting April fool. This is a popular day among kids and this day drives our minds back to our school days.

The day is popular since 1700 in some western countries. However, the fun of this funny day becomes poor year by year, due to some recent advancements in technology. People, instead of pranking on others, are scrolling their mobile screens. Imagine this day, 10 years back, with street full of pranks. Missing those golden days.
However, there are still some prankers out there who prank and make the day shine.

After that many exploration behind the obstacle revealed that it was a moon. But unfortunately as NASA's jet propulsion laboratory pointed out in a press release exposed the statement "the object is not expect to grow larger and may even be falling apart".
Therefore the Current status of " Peggy" is unknown.
