THE MAN OF VISION

“Dream is not that which you see while sleeping, It is something that does not let you
The above words have the power to create goose bumps in every Indian youngster whenever they hear. Not only for the words but for a pure soul which stood behind these words and strove hard for the development of our country. It is Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam popularly known as the “Missile man of India” and “people’s president”.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on October 15 1931 in Rameshwaram. Since from his childhood he was described as a hardworking student who has the strong desire to learn. This deep  desire towards learning helped kalam to get a degree in aerospace engineering. It is not easy for anyone to promote themselves to a highest position in India just by starting their career as a newspaper hawker. But kalam did it inspite of all the difficulties and failures he faced in his life.

KALAM AS A SCIENTIST:
Kalam was popularly known as the “Missile man of India” due to his contribution in development of many projects. Under his guidance India successfully came up with projects namely Prithvi- short range surface to surface missile, Trishul – short range low level surface to air missile, Akash- medium range surface to air missile and Agni . Moreover in Pokhran 2 nuclear test he served as the chief project coordinator and he was the chief instructor of SLV3.

AS THE FIRST CITIZEN OF INDIA

Kalam became the eleventh president of India on 2002. During his term as a president, he was affectionately known as the people’s president. He is also known for his affection towards the students. Kalam almost visited all parts of india and wherever he goes he met the students and encourage them to work hard with high aim and big dream. According to him the young children with ignited mind are the valuable resource of India. The only thing that he insisted in all his speeches is to encourage the young aspiring minds. Apart from all these things his two books ’INDIA 2020’ and ’WINGS OF FIRE’ depict his personality as a thinker as well as a great visionary.

END OF A GREAT ERA

This great era had its end on 27 July 2015 in shillong. A true honor to this great soul will not be provided just by praising him but following his words and trail in order to make our country as a powerful nation.

Ola Cabs – Book A Taxi With One Touch

Even some years back, who would have thought that booking a taxi would be so much easier? Thanks to ''Ola Cabs'', traveling in a cab now cheaper than traveling in an auto. You can now easily avail an Ola Cab and their trusted drivers will get you to your exact destination hassle free. According to Indidiary.com, today Ola cabs are the famous form of transport serving the metropolitan cities.

Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal and Mr. Ankit Bhati are the two IIT-B graduates, who are Co-founders of India’s most popular cab hub Ola Cabs. This entrepreneurship idea was formed after a weekend trip on a rented cab had gone terribly for Bhavish. Then he thought to bring transparency and convenience to consumers in this area.
Known as a taxi service, Ola Cabs was started in Mumbai in the year 2010 in order to solve the city's transport misery. Now, this company provides taxi services in over 100 cities across the country. An article published in Asianentrepreneur.org states that last year in October, Ola Cabs has raised around $210 million at a valuation of nearly $1 billion, with this, it has joined the league of the most valued start-ups in the country.

ANSWERS OF LAST WEEK

1.The correct answer is a. 46
The pattern is 1 + 5 = 6, 6 + 7 = 13, 13 + 9 = 22, 22 + 11 = 33, 33 + 13 = 46.

2. The correct answer is c. 20
From left 7th tree and from right 14th tree. So, 7 + 14 – 1 = 20.

3. The correct answer is c. Submarine
Float means above water and sink means under water.
In same way, Boat floats on water  and submarine moves under water.

4. The correct answer is a. 20 cows
Let initially X grass was present there, and it is increasing by Y grass per day, then for the first condition We get,
X+24*y = 24*70 ----(1)
For the 2nd condition, we have,
X+60*Y = 60*30----(2) Now, On solving equation (1) and (2), we get
X = 1600 and
Y = 10 /3
Third Condition,
X+96*Y = 96 *N -----(3) [N = Number of Cows required]
Putting the values of X and Y in equation (3), We get
N = 20.

5.The correct answer is a. Moropalti
Krekin means work; blaf means force; drita means ground;  alti means place.
