1.The answer is c) ₹ 8400
Ratio of their shares = 22500 : 35000 = 9 : 14. Deepak's share = ₹ ( 13800 × 14/23 ) = ₹ 8400.
2. The answer is c) 27.3 m
Let AB be the tower and C and D be the points of observation. Then, angle ACB = 30°, angle ADB = 45° and CD = 20 m.
Let AB = h.
Then AB/AC = tan 30° = 1/√3
AC = AB × √3 = h√3.
And, AB/AD = tan45°= 1
AD = AB = h.
CD = 20 = (AC-AD) =20 = h√3 – h =20 h=( 20/ (√3 – 1 )) × (( √3 + 1) / ( √3 + 1))
= 10(√3 + 1) m = (10 × 2.73 ) m = 27.3m.
3. The answer is a) 3 : 4
W2/W1 = 3/2 and W1/W3 = ½
W2/W3 = ( W2/W1 × W1/W3) = 3/2 × ½ = ¾
W2 : W3 = 3 : 4
4. The answer is c) 80
Let speed of jogging be x km/hr.
Total time taken = ( 9/6 hrs + 1.5 hrs ) = 3 hrs.
Total distance covered = ( 9 + 1.5x )km.
(9+1.5x) / 3 = 9
9+1.5x = 27
3/2 × = 18
× = (18 × 2/3 ) = 12 kmph.
5. The answer is c) 7.11
= √( 4096/10^2) + √( 4096/ 10^4) + √( 4096/10^6) + √( 4096/10^8)
= √4096/10 + √4096 / 10^2 + √4096/10^3 + √4096/10^4
= 64/10 +64/100 + 64/1000 + 64/10000
= 6.4 + 0.64 + 0.064 + 0.0064 = 7.1104
