THE ACCET TIMES CORONA: COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.  The World Health Organization declared the outbreak to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and recognised it as a pandemic on 11 March 2020. It has affected about 210 countries and territories around the world. As of 23 April 2020, more than 2.66 million cases of COVID-19 have been reported around the world, resulting in more than 185,500 deaths and more than 730,855 people have recovered. Advanced economies like the U.S. are hardly immune to these effects. As of now, US has 8,55,435 confirmed cases and with a huge death of 47,992. The number of the coronavirus cases in India crossed 21,700, while over 688 people have died and about 4353 have recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay at Home. ACCET TIMES: SEMESTER EXAMS: In the COVID-19 pandemic situation the educational institutes were closed from 17.03.2020. The educational institutions and hostels have been identified as quarantine centres in case of emergency. So the semester examinations are postponed.  In that case the department of higher education have requested the educational institutions to conduct the semester in the beginning of next academic year. When the college opens the examinations will be conducted without any breaks. If necessary examinations can be conducted in two sessions .
