Mr.Sivaraman, an alumnus of our college CSE 2020 batch, was conferred with the "Vallalar Velai Vaaipu Sevai Iyakkam" award, on 06/11/2021 for his selfless service to the society by being a part of "ini oru vithi seivom" social service group.

ISTE CONTESTS:

The Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) of our college had conducted various contests like poetry and essay writing, photography and poster designing from 3^rd November to 10^th November. Topics for these contests were provided on their Instagram page. Also, the Trivia quiz contest is to be conducted on 12^th November in the EEE classrooms.

The first year students set their foot on the lands of ACGCET on the 11^th of November, with new dreams and aspirations to reach greater heights in life. We heartily welcome all the freshers on behalf of the family of ACGCET.

PM Modi dedicates to the Nation, multiple National Highway and road projects

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated various National Highway and Road projects to the Nation in the temple town of Pandharpur in Maharashtra, through video conference. These initiatives are aimed at improving connectivity in the region to facilitate the hassle-free and safe movement of devotees.

INSPIRATIONAL STORY

The Butterfly (Struggles)

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly in which, one day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for a few hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. So the man decided to help the butterfly. 

He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man didn’t think anything of it and sat there waiting for the wings to enlarge to support the butterfly. But that didn’t happen. The butterfly spent the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with tiny wings and a swollen body.

Despite the kind heart of the man, he didn’t understand that the restricting cocoon and the struggle of the butterfly to get itself through the small opening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings.

Moral of the story: Our struggles in life develop our strengths. Without struggles, we never grow and never get stronger, so it’s important for us to tackle challenges on our own.

If you pray God for unity, God will give us split ups. Those split ups are the chances to be United. Yes, We are about to see about the ongoing Chennai floods. We all know that the condition in Chennai is getting worse day by day. The reasons for flooded Chennai might be many factors. The reasons can be anyone as well. It may be the Government, Corporate or others. But, the sufferings are always to the  common people. We cannot stop the rain. But ,we can save those people from hunger. We cannot serve everyone, but surely we can serve at least the ones who are really suffering. That’s the way everyone in there will get their needed help and save their most valuable lives.

Don’t think that we are safe because we don’t live in Chennai !

Remember that we live in the same world where Chennai exists!

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Combined Civil Services-III examination to select Group 3 and Group 3A officers to various posts.

Postings: 

1. Station fire officer
2. Junior inspector of cooperative societies
3. Assistant supervisor of industrial cooperative societies.
4. Store keeper, grade II in industries and commerce department.
5. Store keeper in the employment and training department.

Age limit: 18-42 years

Total marks: 300

Total questions:

•  General studies- 75
•  Aptitude & mental ability- 25
•  General Tamil / General English-100
•  Total questions -200

The interview or oral test carries 40 marks
