GOLDEN JUBILEE

Our college feels proud, to celebrate the golden Jubilee with the amazing alumni of 1971 batch, who decorated the program by their presence on March 7th and 8th. The event was hosted by our college at Sangamam hall. The program began with much enthusiasm. Students from second and final years gave dance performances and the music club brought up their beautiful melody in this program. The alumni got so excited, to recollect the memories of their college days at the golden jubilee celebration.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION


International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements in various fields. The theme for IWD2022 given by the UN was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. Women’s day celebration at our college was spectacularly organized by the women empowerment cell on March 8. Wonderful speeches, energetic dances, lively debates and many more performances made the day even more special.

THIRAN REVIEW

Annual project competition of Thiran: The first review for the projects designed by the second year and third year students was successfully conducted by the Thiran coordinators of the respective departments. Many students eagerly participated and presented their innovative ideas.

NCC CAMP

Our college students participated in the NCC camp held at Alagappa arts college, Karaikudi for seven days from  February 25 to March 3. Around five colleges attended, of which 32 students from second and third years participated from our college under the leadership of Captain Mr.Selvaraj sir. The cadets did drills and parades in the camp. The NCC cadets were taught lessons, to clear the ‘B’ Certificate and ‘C’ Certificate exams. The NCC cadets were also given rifle drills.

SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

The odd semester examinations for the first year students were successfully completed via offline mode earlier this week. The even semester began on March 10th for the first years. We wish them luck and hope this even semester will be much more joyous and interesting for all.

NSS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME


The NSS orientation program was held on the 11th of march in our college. The function was presided by our principal Dr.P.K. Palani and vice principal Dr.K. Baskaran. Our NSS unit program officer Mr. Loganathan listed the achievements made by our NSS unit during the pandemic period and the current academic year. Certificates were distributed to the volunteers who attended the camp. Students who attended various camps shared their experience with others. The active presence of everyone made the orientation program a great success.

CURRENT AFFAIRS

Kerala IT Corridors

In the budget of Kerala that was presented by the Finance Minister KN Balagopal, importance has been given to the IT sector of the state, with the focus being given to the futuristic 5G networks. Expeditious steps will be initiated by the Kerala government to bring the 5G system to the state.

FUTURE PATHS

CDS Exam

CDS, Combined Defense Service is  a national level exam conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for those candidates who want to join the defense forces i.eIndian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force as commissioned officers.

ELIGIBILITY:

Must be a graduate

AGE LIMIT:

19-25 years

EXAM PROCESS:

  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview
  • Medical examination.

MARKS AND TIME:

The CDS exam is conducted for 300 marks and the duration is two hours per subject, where the questions are multiple-choice based on objective type.
