SERIES TEST

The series test-II for all second and third years was held from the 19th to the 21st of October 2022 in Murugappa Hall and drawing hall of our college. Students had worked hard to prepare for this series test. This series test would assist them in preparing for their upcoming semester exams. As a result, the students have potential and should work on their weaknesses in order to achieve better results.

VOTER AWARNESS PROGRAMME

In order to encourage the young voters to take part in the political process and to create much needed awareness about one of our basic rights as an adult, the NCC, NSS, YRC and other Clubs of the college have planned a voter awareness program for the students. Pertaining to this, elocution and drawing competitions on the theme “My Vote is my right-Power of One Vote” were held on 28 September 2022 from 11:00am - 12:30pm at Sangamam Hall. The participation of the students was noteworthy and had participated with a lot of vigor and enthusiasm.

TREE PLANTATION

Our rotract club of acgcet, NSS and YRC conducted an event on 14th of October 2022 in accordance with the advice of district collector. The event named sasya swasthya(crop health) was held in collaboration with the rotract club of MITFGC and was organised for the “UNITY DAY COLLABRATION”. The sole motto of the event was “Trees ON-global warming gone”. The participants of the event successfully achieved planting over 100 saplings in our college campus. Our college principal and staffs have taken part in the event to appreciate blooming buds and to admire mother nature. The members of rotract club, NCC and YRC have found participated much more to their jubilant and enthusiasm

BUILD CLUB WORKSHOP

Build club which is a part of IITM Research Park, is a platform to build our projects. This club conducted a two days’ workshop on October 17 and 18 2022. Various students and staff from IITM visited our college IoT lab and students were given innovative projects and they guided the students to finish them. Our college students also did presentations in front of the IITM members on topics like rocketry, Baja and many individual projects. Our college students participated in the workshop with lots of enthusiasm. 

EMPOWER 22



The EMPOWER conference is an annual technical event, organized with the objective of bringing together all stakeholders in the assistive technology sector, which includes researchers, user organizations, industries as well as policy makers. This is the fifth EMPOWER Conference organized at IIT Madras Research Park from October 13 to 15, 2022. 10 students from our college attended the conference.  Many start-ups (in the field of assistive technology) exhibited their innovative products.

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME



“With freedom comes responsibility, a responsibility that can only be met by the individual”

In order to remind everyone as well as ourselves this, the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation Limited, Karaikudi Division had organized “Road Safety Awareness Campaign” on 11th October 2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm held at Murugappa Hall. Students of the second year attended the campaign and were able to learn about importance of road safety and how to be a safe driver on the road.

INTER COLLEGE SYMPOSIUM

GENNEXT’22

GENNEXT’22 is a state level symposium organized by Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai on 14th October 2022. Two third year students Jefflin Deno. J.S. and Jeya Shree.M from the EEE department, participated in the paper presentation event in the symposium. They bagged First Prize in the Paper Presentation and were awarded with cash prize. We heartly congratulate the students for their success.

ELECTRICKS’22



ELECTRICKS’22 is a national level symposium organized by Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology, Pudukottai on 28th October 2022. Various events were held at the symposium such as paper presentation, project, circuitrix and so on. The third year EEE students our college participated in the symposium and got exciting prizes. They got 1st prize in the Circuitrix, 2nd and 3rd prize in the Paper Presentation and 2nd and 3rd prize in the Project. We congratulate the students for their outstanding performance.

PSYCHOMETRIC TEST


Under the mandatory course assigned for our students, psychometric testing is a type of test used in recruitment to measure a candidate's mental capabilities, intelligence levels and aptitude. Formalizing this assessment of aptitude and personality also removes the risk of unconscious bias from interviews and levels the playing field for candidate. Second years are yet to attend the test whereas our third and final students have completed it conveniently in online mode.

LEO CLUB DONATION



The Leo club of our college planned to celebrate this Diwali with the special children at Nirmal Special School, Devakottai. The club raised the necessary fund from our college students and staffs to support them with their necessities. The club members visited the school on 31st of October and spent a day with the children. They kept the children engaged by conducting various fun activities. The club extended their gratitude to each and every one who had been a part of this donation.
