MECHANICAL SYMPOSIUM:  The department of  Mechanical engineering of  ACGCET ie "MECHASSO" organised their two days intra level technical symposium "#FUEL 2K18" on 25th and 26th of this  September. Er. B. Arokiaraj Fernando, AGM, Sanmar metals limited ,as well as our alumini made his valuable presence as our chief guest and our alumni  shared his experience with Our TEQIP co-ordinator and senior Professor Dr. A. Ramadevi made the function more enthusiastic with the presidential address. Dr. R. Malayalamoorthy, HOD, mechanical department welcomed the gathering. Dr.B.Guruprasad,staff incharge,Fuel2k18 felicitated our cheif guest. MUTHAMIL MANDRAM: The most awaited "Agal" ceremony took form on the 18th of September. Besides all other clubs, Muthamil mandram is very close to heart, for it is the only club associated with our mother tongue, TAMIL! The ceremony started by 9:30 A.M. in Murugappa hall. Students kept on roaring and cheering as the events went on. Our cultural entertainments like கலைக்கூத்து, சிலம்பாட்டம், கரகாட்டம், கும்மி and  பறையாட்டம் were performed by variedly talented students of our college. And like every other year, பட்டிமன்றம் was enjoyed the most. The eloquent orators made their talk more lively with pun and jokes. EEE SYMPOSIUM: "Hardwork along with the team work always pays off to success"  The National level Technical symposium of our EEE department-ALCONESY , held on 12th September ,with a great response from the  students of other colleges. The function started with the lighting of the traditional lamp. Our beloved principal Dr.A.Elango presided over the function. Head of the EEE department, Dr.K.Baskaran welcomed the gathering. As a gem of the function ,Dr.M.L.Valarmathi, principal of government college of engineering, Dharmapuri enlightened the students with her inspiring speech. The function was honoured by the presence of chief guest,Mr.G.Senthil Kumar, Deputy general manager of BGR Energy systems Ltd. The symposium started with a paper presentation event followed by other technical events such as technical quiz,see through C, project event. Nearly ,80 students from other colleges participated in various events. Various projects from many colleges were displayed . ...

CNC - WORKSHOP: A bunch of workshops are being conducted in our college in recent times. As chalk and cheese every Department conducts its own workshops. One such workshop conducted by our mechanical department was "CNC". It was a four day program conducted on 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th August. This was organised by our principal Dr.A.Elango and Prof.Perumal of mechanical department mainly to deport the skills on our students. Through this workshop students overtook knowledge on Computer Numerical Control and Computer Aided Manufacturing. They studied the concept by correlating it with their core topics Milling and Lathe machines. And they exerted their designs using Uniq graphics. As a whole the 4 day acknowledgement of CNC was much fascinating. LEO CLUB - INSTALLATION: Beginnings are always worth celebrating. Our college's Leo club celebrated their 22nd installation in a grand manner. The function was presided over by our respected Principal  Dr.A.Elango. ...
